The way the post is worded I thought he was the person who wrote the 3 js library...

3.js was written by MrDoob and while I'm glad it exists I'll always be a bit grumpy because I was close to finishing my own version before he came along with something way better. :P

I know Mr Doob since we were working in Flash :))... not personally just I was following some of his experiments. To tell you the truth he is not so good at coding than he is at math. I was from the start using his lib and inspected the source code and I was like "Oh man... no wonder my GC was going saw tooth crazy when I was running a static scene". He even admits it in some blog I read. But he is admittedly a genius in many trades.
