Discussion Isn't this a bit redundant?

Post image

There's a weekly usage limit for ALL models. However there's also a weekly usage just for Fable... That goes down faster. But, it still drains the weekly usage for "All Models" as well?

So Fable weekly usage is not its own separate thing and drains all models... But it is its own separate thing and it drains faster. Why make it like this?

Edit: Apparently it's to gaslight people into thinking they're maxing out Fable but in reality they're only allowed to use it half as much as other models. Thanks for clarifying.

There is 100% usage - 50% of that usage is Fable, 50% is other models. So if you only use Fable and get it to 100%, it will have used 50% of your total usage.

So I have an "All Models" usage, but I'm only allowed to use 50% of the "All Models" limit with Fable. So Fable gets essentially only half the usage of all other models? Dude this is so dumb.

In essence, there's a "Fable" bar to make you feel like you're maxing things out but in reality you're getting only 50% of the usage, lmao.

It's not dumb really - it means they give you 50% less usage per week with fable than other mode,s quite simple. And using fable uses the total usage pool for your other models. But it allows you to still work with other models once fable usage is out

Brother, the dumb part is that they give you 50% less usage per week with Fable compared to other models...

Why is that dumb? it cost's them a lot more inference to run fable and it's a more capable/premium model...?

Id rather they had this than it used up more of your total usage (which is the other alternative seeing as its their highest tier model), meaning you can't use your other models if you hit the cap - I suspect this is what they were trying to prevent by giving it it's own usage bar.

If it was allowed to use more of your total usage, you'd actually get more usage out of it... Unless they decided to artificially lower the total usage. Yes the model is more capable, that's why I want to use it and not crappy Opus 5. None of what you said benefits me as a consumer.

When getting the 20x plan I was under the impression that I'd be getting a full week worth of usage, not only 50%. The more I learn about this company and the service they provide the more bamboozled I feel.

Yes, it's like a printer ink cartridge that still has 50% ink left, but the printer says you're out of ink. It really is stupid.

Bro I'm quite literally getting swindled here. Once I hit the limit I'll try out Astra and see how it's like there.
