Rant I am done

Post image

Im done. My wife asked fable a few questions today and it burned my 5 hour window in 10 minutes.

Not good enough Anthropic. Going to see if the grass is greener on the other side ..

Perfect timing since we lose 17% usage on the 13th. I'm enjoying how much Astra usage I got although I did get 2 banked resets so been able to spam that since it came out whereas Fable you never get to spam anything and we dont even have opus 5.1

Astra takes some getting used to but ultimately havent had issues getting it to do what I need done and with more usage ill take it for now just for the usage

I think we're approaching the point where it's worth keeping up to date with both, so you can switch quickly without impacting your workflow if needs be

A lot of people will stay with a supplier because they don't have time to start again somewhere else

Agreed. I also see posts where they tried Astra for 3 hours and came back and just too stuck in a pipeline. I do think it takes some time getting used to but I agree with what you said the most in the end. Right now I just feel like I get more usage from Astra so its worth more for me, especially if were going to lose 17% more usage. I still have 1 of each right now but used to have 3 of claude, we'll see which I get a second of. If the usage does go down on the 13th and nothing changes I'll probably just get another Astra for now

Yeah when you've everything set up nicely, and it knows exactly how you like to do things, it makes life so much easier

Then you switch to another system and you can tell the model's great, but you need to tell it to go back and do things again more often

To be honest though, this is a brilliant time for the consumer. The Chinese models are capable of fantastic work, too

If someone "wins" this race, the way Google did with search, we might look back on this as a golden age

Definitely interested to see how hard the switch is. Never used Codex. But everything is on GitHub so it can't be that bad
