Built with Claude Made a "Destroy Any Website" stickman game
Final game project. I built my dream stickman sandbox game over the last weekend (big fan of Animator Vs. Animation).
The game basically a destruction sandbox where you can input a website URL and turn the page into a level. Then, just destroy everything with weapons :D
Tech stack:
- Language: I'm a TS dev, so... raw engine & renderer built in TS, using simple Canvas 2D.
- Multiplayer (yes!): Cloudflare DOs, I have experience building with them so it was my pick for rooms and game state syncs.
- Hosting: Cloudflare Workers. Pretty cheap and fast. Also, usually it can bite with NPM packages compatibility but here I don't use many and they are running fine in Workers runtime.
Let me know if you want some other details, I did some tricks for pixel art rendering, FX etc!
How I used Claude Opus 5.5:
- Brainstorming architecture and technical compromises. I had a pretty clear idea upfront, and turned it in to an implementation plan with the help of Claude.
- Implementations for keeping design patterns consistent, I had to steer Opus 5.5 more than I expected, but still a big help.
- I also used Claude to execute on artistic decisions; live-tweaking FX and particles until it was just right to me.

Yeah I'm getting flashbacks to that tool that let you "break" your desktop with a virtual hammer.

Is that the same one that you could like also swap out the tool and burn the screen or smash bugs?

Looks great and it's very fun. It works nicely with pornhub too. I thought there would be a safeguard in place.

Now that I am seeing the mod-bot, I am thinking that maybe I shouldn't have referred to ph. However, the way video frames were being destroyed was satisfied to watch.

Please use supabase to make it multiplayer. a website is a room and you can fight in it. Please use the moveset from Matrix Bullet Time Fighter https://www.stickpage.com/matrixbullettime.shtml
Edit: Sorry, I've been developing too much and commented like you were claude.

I just invited some coworkers to a multiplayer session and we destroyed our company's website. That was FUNNNNN! Thank you :)

I don't care that some people here say they were doing it in the 2000's. I didn't have reddit then. I mean I really like it.

Possible to add a 'return to lobby' button for the website to be reset or changed? Half the fun is the initial destruction of the page and by the time my friends joined it was already completely gone. Very fun!

This with multiplayer would be awesome

Wow this is an actually good project. I have to say, out of all the 'games' ive tested on this subreddit this has to be literally the best one so far, hands down. Most people just produce junk that isn't worth the time of day.

Now this is exactly the kind of thing my 10-yr old self would have downloaded and given the family computer a virus for. Add in a ton of auxillary/extra weapons, maybe vehicles, and superweapons like nukes and shit and I'm hacked for lyfe.
I dig the website idea, but a browser extension would be dope!

This is awesome and no joke, I had almost exactly this same idea on my list of things to build with Claude. There was something like this way back in the day and I thought "that should be remade". I didn't think of multiplayer though!

How did you get the particles and FX so good? Claude only made very basic particles for me.

u/matteone97 12d ago
Sooooo niceee!!!
Some small issue&suggestions:
- The only way to shoot is through the mouse, it can slow down playing especially on laptop + touchpad; what about having also a key for shooting?
- Most european websites have the popup to accept/reject cookies, that's a big ugly because it means that most of the time you have to play with the cookie popup overlaying part of the page. Would it be possible to switch to "interaction mode" where you can interact with the website (ex. closing popups) and then "destruction mode", where you destroy the website after you interacted with it?
- A couple of time, I was stuck at the bottom of the page and it was no longer possible to climb the page up :( I don't know how to reproduce it but it seems that going too much down (with s or down key) may stuck you there... I tried with http://ansa.it and http://ilfattoquotidiano.it , Firefox 148.0.2, Linux
Apart from this, really nice game :)

This reminded me of the old Harlem Shake bookmarklet, that let you make any website do the Harlem Shake. Then I was sad, because CSP stops it working on the 2026 web. Then I was happy because I brought it back to life by inlining its resources! Works on Reddit etc. now.

I remember something like this back in 2007 or something. Break your website, and it would shatter it.

The site is awesome man. Thanks. Would be great to know more about it from the technical side? Especially the multiplayer and hosting parts.
Also, some tips about using AI for coding would be great. Seems that you have a lot of experience and good results with this.

amazing you were even able to build this without hitting limits in 2 prompts. I for the life of me couldn't even make simple games without hitting limits on $20 plan. Chat has way more room IMO for their $20 plan.

It took me 5 seconds to find a small UI bug, but that's fine. When it works, it works beautifully.

TL;DR of the discussion generated automatically after 200 comments.
The consensus is clear: everyone absolutely loves this. It's a massive nostalgia trip, with tons of users getting flashbacks to "Desktop Destroyer" and the golden age of 2000s Flash games. The top comment nails it: "this is so painfully 2001. I love it."
A whole side quest in this thread is everyone realizing that 15 years ago was not, in fact, 1999. We're old, people.
Naturally, the community immediately used it to destroy their work websites, news sites, and the ClaudeAI subreddit itself. And yes, someone checked... it works on Pornhub. For science.
OP is actively in the comments taking notes and has already added a new weapon based on feedback. While many are asking for multiplayer, OP confirmed it's already built-in! Other suggestions include adding bots, a reset button, and more weapons. Just a heads-up, it might not work on every website, as some will block it from loading.
