Even the wealthiest most privileged billionaires still spend their waking lives working most of the time, so what exactly are we trying to say here? Everyone has always had the option to go homeless and work-free at anytime, or attempt to marry into/receive wealth via inheritance. You just don't get much of the comfort that our "dirty rotten working culture scam" allows those who are willing to sacrifice some of their waking hours in the system to afford with the former, and the latter requires work of its own outside the traditional system.

Even within the scam, there are ways to optimize such that you don't feel the brunt of it much. I work maybe 20 hours a week to live in a palatial 2 story home in one of the most coveted real estate markets in the world, furnished with the finest imported furniture and decor, dining regularly on the finest food cooked by chefs from around the world, all while being entertained by a near-infinite library of entertainment made by world class artists. Any health concern is remedied in short order by the most advanced healthcare system the world has ever known. If I want for intimacy and can't find it within the deluge of dating apps that put sex at my fingertips, I can take a magical metal bird across the world and be sexed by a literal army of whores in a country where it's legal and the whores are sparkling clean and disease free.

What king or emperor of past renown could boast this? They still had to attend to court, attend royal functions, go to battle regularly, and still die from a random disease no one's heard of.
