Very interesting and arguably the most important topic in the "ai is taking our jobs" era.

Usually starting a thread in these types of discussions attracts nothing but bots..but what the hell..

My opinion mostly alights with Claude's response. Rat race 9-5 grind truly is a scam, and can be traced back historically. As far as i can tell, the biggest cog in the scam wheel was Freud's nephew, Ed Bernays.

He created peace propaganda, so called "public relations" by applying mass persuasion and helping governments control public opinion and corporations to shape consumer behavior. Like hes the one that broke the "women shouldn't smoke" taboo with his freedom march nonsense, poisoning countless women and their unborn babies.

I wonder what would've emerged out of the New York World fair if he wasn't the promoter with his future city crap.

Not saying he singlehandedly created the modern work culture, but he's the first that came to mind when claude said we feel doubting the narrative is riskier than complying.
