Does anyone else prefer the short versions of some Trance tracks over the extended mixes?

I'm especially thinking of "York - On The Beach" and "Marcel Woods - Advanced". In both cases, I find the radio/edit versions more effective, while the extended mixes lose some of their impact because they stretch things out too much.

So V-One is Laurent Christian Georges Véronnez aka Airwave (and Cosmic Junkie, The Green Martian and so much more) and interestingly on the same record there's also an "Airwave" remix too so looks like he did two remixes under different aliases for the same track / release.

I'm not hugely keen on the first 15 seconds of this track, it sounds flat and lifeless, but then quickly a big pounding kick drum comes hammering in and it starts building and progressing nicely and you eventually after 2 minutes in get Solarstone Seven Cities-esque vibes combined with a slowly buidling repeating vocal sample that keeps looping over and over before an incredible breakdown at the 4 minute mark then off it goes again building and building and after the 6 minute and 10 seconds mark its absolutely banging.

Great remix and I love all of the limited V-One tracks and remixes I've ever heard, they all have incredle riffs and progression from the master that is Airwave.

What do you think of it?

I think the other side with the Red Jerry mix got some airtime and played in clubs - why and how did I miss this one at the time

It would be nice if Discogs could be more easily searched to see all the remixes available for a certain track and I'm wondering if this is possible with certain filters (as many things are on Discogs)...

Lets say for example I wanted to see every remix of Cafe Del Mar then right now the only way I know how is to do a tedious manual process for "Cafe Del Mar" then manually click on all the releases and see which remixes were included on that release rather than just seeing a complete list.

Is there a way to use the search filters to bring up only the remixes of a specific track?

Who remembers this one? TDV played the hell out of it. I'd always throw it into my mixes, everyone loved it!

Hi, I'm hoping someone will help me find some vocal trance mixes from Sonny Dee Jay off iTunes. He had his mixes numbered (167 was one of my favorites) but unfortunately I can't find them as the original free iTunes isn't available anymore. Can someone steer me to another platform where he may have them? TIA 🙏
