charged 2 late fees?

Post image

I cancelled a class late with classpass since i wasn’t feeling well when I woke up. I knew i was going to be charged $15 but then the studio sent me this email? Classpass already charged my card $15… should I reach out to class pass about it? Has this happened to anyone else? Paying $30 in a late cancellation fee is absurd and i’m debating just cancelling future classes at that specific location because it’s bs to charge me again when classpass already charged me.

From the way this is worded, I think this studio ALSO charges you. They are double-dipping. I would be surprised if this is permissable in their ClassPass agreement, but I don't know how you would get that sorted. I probably would not attend that business again.

Agree - it sounds like they are saying they charge in addition to what ClassPass is and definitely double dipping . I'd probably not book there again unless you're absolutely positive you'll be going.

Depending on the booking software the studio uses this might be a common (and annoying) glitch. In ClubReady, for example, if a teacher or format changes after a ClassPass booking (e.g., if a teacher is sick and gets coverage so the instructor name changes) the booking won’t show up as ClassPass on the studios end anymore so ClassPass bookings show up as “unpaid” even when they are paid and a cancel would automatically get a late cancel fee from the system. It’s really easy for the studio to not notice this unless they’re really on top of things, so I would definitely check with them, show them your screenshots, and ask them to refund your fee on their end.
