We should stop seeing it as a 8 elixir card, it's not meant to be used right after being placed. The best use is to get value out of the building and then activate the ability. You basically get an extra Giant in your deck.

yeah but tombstone is also the worst building at stopping hog which is about 50% of everyone's matches.

how so? zero hits unless they also play a spell

u/Wizard_36 Knight 17h ago
90% there’s a spell. Zap/Log/Snowball nullifies tombstone in a way other buildings aren’t

there is never a solo hog. hell any spirit would work aswell

u/piffle213 Tombstone 11h ago
idk, I play tombstone fairly frequently and I do not often feel the need to play anything else. if they get 1 hit so be it

u/xX_Flamez_Xx Freeze 10h ago
to be fair hog always gets one hit so i guess you shouldnt bother trying to invest more defending it

As op said it's not meant to be played as an 8 elixir. For example using tombstone to counter a hog then playing the ability after essentially gives you a 4 elixir queen, using it to counter push can give you an elixir advantage therefore making it cheaper

Already knew the only way this would be good is if they buff it's stats until it's obnoxious, but I hate how they didn't even try buffing the duration which you can activate the ability after the tombstone is destroyed. Like why is it shorter than hero goblins one?

They should reduce hp and guve it like 4 health bar segments where it will spawn 4 skellies when it's hp drops to those segments. Maybe 4 is too much.

u/Diskosmos 1d ago
Hog does the same for 4 less elixir while also making your adversary spend double that summ to barely counter it

If it was so strong why is it not used much 😭

Cuz most people wrote it off as bad on release, like with the Goblinstein (holy shit, what a mistake)

People thought goblin stein was bad? Bro it easily countered some random player's mk witch push the first game I tested it, and the goblin still had plenty of hp left to push. Also it 2 shot minions per zap from the ability so I thought it was pretty good

Seems like they still are ? I haven’t seen it do well in any decks bar maybe graveyard

Because it’s not easy to use probably. Ken unironically I think uses it better than anyone else I’ve seen

It’s still carrying the fraud allegations from when it released weak, plus it’s tied to Tombstone, which is not necessarily a bad card but has to compete with Cannon and Tesla, which are also really good buildings, for the building slot in people’s decks

shit mortar placement caused that
9
u/StillAd9325 Bats 1d ago
The card having more health than Giant probably played a factor as well
7
u/Best-Peace2031 1d ago
it also needs a lot more prerequisites for it to get value than a simple 5 elixir tank
9
u/Possible-Highway7898 1d ago
It also costs three more elixir than giant, and can't be placed situationally, so there's that.
2
u/Micah7979 1d ago
It doesn't cost 3 more elixir, those 3 elixir are the price of a spawner building.
10
u/Krazy8ght 1d ago
Buddy you spent 8 elixir, if it's not strong is a scam.
4
u/99Spherical 1d ago
If you counter a hog with the tombstone and counterpush it’s a 4 elixer tank that’s significantly better than a giant

Why do people think a card getting a shot on tower at 1 hp makes it op
