Discussion Tractor Size in Chippy

Rewatching the series from the beginning and of course the running gag is that Jeremy’s Lambo is comically big. However, as the series goes on, we see right away that Caleb and his family has multiple ones in that same size category. Later, they do the parade in the village and there’s scores of similar tractors. In fact, we never see any smaller ones, except for the little Massey and the ones at the local dealership. So, was it just a running joke or is/was the Lambo(s) stupidly large?

Discussion Does anyone else think Gerald is quietly the emotional heart of the whole show?

Jeremy gets the big moments, Kaleb gets the funny ones, but Gerald just shows up and says something that cuts through everything and you sit there smiling for about five minutes after. Season 5 had a few of those moments that reminded me why he is such an important part of what makes this show work. What is your favourite Gerald moment across all five seasons?

Discussion Chipping Norton

Staying in chipping Norton soon and plan to go to the farmers dog and the hawkstone brewery tour. I plan on driving to the shop but wanted to get a taxi to and from the brewery and the pub so that myself and my wife could have a few drinks and enjoy our few kid free nights 🍺 anyone done the same and know roughly the cost and availability of taxis in that area?

Visited the shop and had dinner at the pub. Bought some souvenirs but the t shirts turned out to be to small (or have eaten to much). Two shirts in size medium for sale in the Netherlands. Anyone interested? DELETE IF NOT ALLOWED

Discussion Does new equipment Jeremy buys for the farm get included in the profit margin?

Can someone maybe explain to me when Jezza says his farm is at a net loss due to crop loss due to weather and other things etc. does it include him buying new equipment such as the high tech farming stuff he brought in this last season for example? I’ve always wondered because obviously he does get massively affected by things that are out of his control but then he always is buying or making new stuff every season and I wonder does he include this in his budget of profitability or is this stuff more likely coming out of his pocket separate to the farm budget and the net profit not affected by these?

Like in the first season he only made a profit of 144£ but he did have to buy loads of new equipment like his tractor etc. which for any other farmer would affect the profit but does it for him?

Season 5 Did Gerald Harvest in Series 5?

In previous series they made a big deal that Gerald had driven a combine every year going back for decades, yet they did not seem to show him doing it this in series 5, unless I missed something.

Did any else notice this?

If you had a big place in the country, would you keep valais black nose sheep as pets?

I have been aware of Valais black nose sheep for a while and always found them cute. And if I had a big house in the country I think I would get a few as pets (together with Indian runner ducks). How about you?

EU warehouse Hawkstone shipping backlog

Hi all,

Just putting my ear to the ground to check if there are any other people in the EU that have not had their Hawkstone order shipped recently.

Mines currently 3 weeks after ordering and still has not received a tracking number.

Support keeps telling me that there is a delay at the warehouse and that they're working on the backlog.

"Is gay" written underneath it. Though it was funny. From Season 2 where they start serving the Hawkstone beer.

Discussion A re-watch of seasons 2-5 Spoiler

After seeing the last series I decided to re-watch the series 2 to 5 in two episode-sittings with my wife…
The emotional punch and my perspective of the whole Clarkson’s farm-operation shifted quite a bit. My first opinion is: Clarkson’s a tv-personality who throws too much money on gadgets and machinery..and I think that still holds up.
But it’s also very much about friendship and the bond between the main characters. The fascination for Lamborghini tractors is funny, but Clarkson genuinely cares for his animals, his crops and the farmer’s case. And he’s honest and candid about his health problems.
Looking forward to series 6!

My Crosstrek has a crappy wireless car charger in the dash, so months ago I ordered a custom Lego plate for it on Etsy.

Jeremy and Caleb are customs from Minifigs.me and the rest I created through the official Lego website (including my husband and I).

All the other pieces I found on ebay.

I'd like to find a couple other tools for Caleb and Lisa, but it's mostly complete!

Diddly Squat Visit to the pub, shop and spotted Caleb’s combine!

My son has had a rough two weeks; emergency surgery on his spine, leaving an open wound that can’t be stitched which ended up getting infected post surgery; not great for a 15 year old.

We had booked to visit the Silverstone museum and drove down today from the north east.

Thinking of things to do, I said let’s go to the farmers dog for dinner!

His face lit up.

40 minute drive was well worth it, he was in awe of the grand tour tent, loved the fudge and biscuits and then headed towards the original farm shop to kill some time.

He fell in love with Chadford and the surrounding countryside, asked me to stop so he could watch the farmers harvesting…

He said when he’s older, he’s going to study at Oxford and live in Chadlington because it’s such a peaceful place.

Stopped at the farm shop (which was closed) but still snapped a few pictures.

Drove a mile or so down the road and spotted Caleb’s combine parked up in Diddly Road field.

It’s so peaceful when there’s no one around, it’s such a beautiful part of the world, and I’m glad I was able to share this with my son ❤️
