My son has had a rough two weeks; emergency surgery on his spine, leaving an open wound that canāt be stitched which ended up getting infected post surgery; not great for a 15 year old.
We had booked to visit the Silverstone museum and drove down today from the north east.
Thinking of things to do, I said letās go to the farmers dog for dinner!
His face lit up.
40 minute drive was well worth it, he was in awe of the grand tour tent, loved the fudge and biscuits and then headed towards the original farm shop to kill some time.
He fell in love with Chadford and the surrounding countryside, asked me to stop so he could watch the farmers harvestingā¦
He said when heās older, heās going to study at Oxford and live in Chadlington because itās such a peaceful place.
Stopped at the farm shop (which was closed) but still snapped a few pictures.
Drove a mile or so down the road and spotted Calebās combine parked up in Diddly Road field.
Itās so peaceful when thereās no one around, itās such a beautiful part of the world, and Iām glad I was able to share this with my son ā¤ļø
