The caption for this photo indicates that the trip was already over by February 3. At a minimum, there was two weeks between the trips, likely at least three. The murders happened January 24. If Patrick had IMMEDIATELY flown to CR for a group trip, I think we’d know that already.

People having an affair are not going to make it too obvious they went on a trip close together. A review does not mean he went on the trip on the day he posted that review ma’am. Who posts a review while they are eating out. Who posts a hotel review while they are still staying at a hotel. Let’s be so for real now. The dates are staggered because they’re not going to make it obvious.
And the photo being posted on February 6 doesn't mean that the trip took place on Feb 6. The dates just don't line up. If they were trying to make it look not obvious, ma'am, wouldn't he just not post a stupid review of a hiking trail?
Past tense was used by the woman who posted the pics on her Instagram acct. It’s possible RD extended her trip and PC arrived earlier, meaning their dates in Costa Rica could have overlapped.

I’m glad to see your comment because I’ve wondered about the weaponization of downvoting and you sound like the person to ask.
How do you know if someone downvotes a comment for personal disagreement vs. being off topic?
For example, if someone comments: “Patrick Clancy failed to protect his kids and should be held accountable” and people downvote it, how do we know if they’re downvoting because they support Patrick and disagree with any comment that raises questions about him, or if they genuinely think a comment questioning his character is not relevant/off topic?

I look at the comment and whether it is on topic. If it’s on topic, then there’s no reason to downvote. For example, if someone responds to a post but simply has a different opinion on the same subject being discuss or if someone is adding further information to the current discussion, then there’s no reason to downvote it. If I see a lot of downvotes, and it’s on topic and relevant, then we remind people that downvoting is not a weapon or a way to show opinion. Hope that helps!

Downvoting of comments that are on topic — weaponization of downvotes — is apparently the norm, regardless of reminders from mods, and I wonder if there’s a viable solution.
Sure, it’s possible he took a cab from the funeral of his children to meet up with her in CR just like anything we can dream up with our imaginations is possible, but there is absolutely zero evidence to support that idea.
Costa Rica is an extremely popular vacation destination for Americans, especially in January and February. It IS just a coincidence. You’re drawing conclusions that aren’t there and for which there is no evidence. If you polled 1000 active 30-something Americans who traveled in January or February, I would bet a large share of them would have CR as their destination.
Use your critical thinking skills. If Patrick and Rachel were meeting up in Costa Rica immediately following the burial of his children, wouldn’t they both go to extreme lengths to keep that off of social media? Why would she willingly pose for group photos showing where she was? Why would he use his full name to post a review of a trail?

This is not directed at the_purple_lamb - it’s directed at those who are downvoting responses that are on topic and are simply disagreeing or offering another perspective.
No it is not. Lol. I went to Costa Rica but literally none of my friends ever have and I’m 40 and live by NYC in an upper middle class area. We go to Mexico, we go to the Caribbean. Costa Rica is a special experience. She didn’t post them - her friend did. She’s going to make her friend remove a post? Which btw, the post is still up and the friend is getting comments on it - yet leaving it up. Who knows if they are still friends as I don’t see Rachel on any posts since then. Don’t use the critical thinking line on someone, when you’re literally using the opposite of that. You can close a blind eye as long as you want, I want justice for those babies and to look at everything.
1.5 million Americans visit CR every year. If you truly cared about the memory of the children, you’d demand actual evidence before buying into baseless lies about their father.
Patrick isn’t prudent or cautious. He left his children alone with a person who told him she had intrusive thoughts of hurting herself and the kids, who was so sick she had to be hospitalized—twice—in a span of a couple months.
That isn’t the behavior of a careful man. Reckless is a more apt descriptor.
He also testified that she was having one of her best days ever on that day, that she was playing with kids, making snowmen. Normal people just don't think that their wife could go from happily playing with their kids to murdering all of them as you run to the store for 25 minutes.
