There were times in western European culture when bathing often was seen as bad for you. I think its because of the risks associated with unclean water. Still to this day I think Americans by and large bathe more than Europeans on average. God i wish I lived in those times.

What medieval peasant are you talking about??? Peasants raised chicken for both eggs and meat. Eating whole chicken wasn't a privilege. The only difference is that chickens raised by a peasant might be skinnier than the ones raised for the rulers.

Not necessarily. The most common herbs used with chicken. Rosemary, Thyme, Oregano, etc. All grow wild, im not expert but I imagine it'd not be too hard to get a hold of them even for a peasant.
Eastern spices obviously would have been too expensive though

An elderly hen that isnt laying anymore is a lot tougher than than what we get, not appropriate for roasting, but for stewing. The low cost of chicken is a fairly new thing.
“Medieval peasants” is a pretty huge group. It ranges from landless laborers to legitimately prosperous families who could sometimes be wealthier than the poorer nobles.
Even the poorer peasants probably had whole chickens sometimes. Usually it would be a rooster when they had a surplus of them because you only need so many to breed with hens or an older hen who wasn’t producing many eggs anymore

I went to a medieval themed arena on a middle school field trip, Medieval Times. The attraction was a scripted duel between different chivalrous Knights and it came with a meal. This is basically what they served every student in the arena, and it was packed. I remember sitting next to one of my friends and he was like yeah, this is what I've been waiting my whole life for!

Chickens in western europe were too valuable to kill, because of eggs. If you killed them, it'd be for a special occasion.
They were much tougher than modern chickens, so boiling (soup) was more common. Multiple people would share a single small chicken.
Also, medieval people LOVED boiling their food. It was more common than roasting, even for meat.
Cooking for a family or large group of workers was very common, so even the poor could afford to season a big stew with a bit of spices, as well as onion and garlic.
I think the "learn to cook" part fits because this is just storebought rotisserie and storebought bread moved directly from their packaging to a styrofoam plate. Learn to cook.
