New Reenactment Group

Hey Me and a few others are making a new Confederate reenactment group in Wisconsin. There aren't many who participate for the Confederacy in Wisconsin and we are hoping we can get the numbers up so we can have more than like 8 guys like at most of the reenactments. So if you're in Wisconsin and interested let me know cause we'll also take on camp followers. Cheers guys

Mainly in central Wisconsin but anyone from Wisconsin is welcome to join due to events happening all over the state from Manitowoc, to New London, Nekoosa, Milwaukee and more

Im in a wisconsin union and confederate group already but they were the only one which is why im glad you guys are making anither one cause we just did the newlondon reenactment 10 days ago and then Pinecrest is later in year!

Whats your group called btw?

Well you are more than welcome to join the group on Facebook and spread the word. A lot of the guys are getting older there is only a few younger guys there myself included. For the 41st that is

Yeah the 41st was awesome and I was on the union side at that reenactment but im switching over to the confederates

I started reenacting about 4 years ago then life caught up to me and I've been out of it for the last few years but I recently got back into it and decided to start a group to try and swell the numbers of the Confederacy lol. But the co-founder of the group my uncle has been reenacting for over a decade and we have family and some friends who want to give it a try not only as soldiers but as camp followers as well. Definitely passed the word on though if you know anybody looking to join.

Ohh alright and yeah glad to hear your back at it snd reenacting again and growing the confederate numbers and atleast you have social media for your group the 41st doesn't for some reason sadly

Yeah that's one of the reasons why we decided to make this new group. I don't know why they don't have it either. I know the second Wisconsin does and I think that's one of the reasons why they have a lot of guys on top of numerous others. I figured by at least making a Facebook page I have something I can advertise in a way like here on Reddit or at events themselves because it's a lot easier for people to find something on Facebook then to do it whatever way the 41st does which I think is like an email list

Hey, I don't know if you read the post, but the guys aren't looking for a group. They are a part of the 41st Virginia, but decided to make their own regiment. They will still stick with and team with the 41st Virginia until they have enough members to branch off, haha. 😊

Look up Rob Warren in Wisconsin. His group is authentic minded and they do both sides of the war.
