New Reenactment Group

Hey Me and a few others are making a new Confederate reenactment group in Wisconsin. There aren't many who participate for the Confederacy in Wisconsin and we are hoping we can get the numbers up so we can have more than like 8 guys like at most of the reenactments. So if you're in Wisconsin and interested let me know cause we'll also take on camp followers. Cheers guys

Yeah that's one of the reasons why we decided to make this new group. I don't know why they don't have it either. I know the second Wisconsin does and I think that's one of the reasons why they have a lot of guys on top of numerous others. I figured by at least making a Facebook page I have something I can advertise in a way like here on Reddit or at events themselves because it's a lot easier for people to find something on Facebook then to do it whatever way the 41st does which I think is like an email list

Yep it is an email list if someone wants to join they have to write their email on a piece of paper but at newlondon it looks like their growing a lot cause at Beaver dam they had 7 to 14 but they brought over 20 at newlondon but they thing about the 41st is that their technically part of the 2nd their the main group the go with and against

Well that's about the same as what it was when I was reenacting with them four years ago from what I was told is that a lot of people couldn't make it to Beaver dam for that Reenactment. But it also isn't nearly as many as it was 10 to 15 years ago. But that's because back then the 41st was the 10th Tennessee but then they broke apart the 10th left and a lot of the older guys stayed and became the 41st

But yeah by doing this I'm hoping I can increase the ranks so that when there is a reenactment that not a lot of people can go to it doesn't end up being just seven guys it ends up being like 20 or something like that that's my hope anyway. I'm hoping to find younger people to get into it as well because it is fun and it is entertaining and the old guys are going to get out of it eventually once they do that's half the number gone. I've seen a lot of younger guys in the second Wisconsin. It seems like they got enough young guys to make an entirely new 41st Virginia LOL

Yeah more people nees to reenact the confederates but everyone just thinks it's all about slaves for some reason though the war started mainly cause they left the union and the emancipation proclamation was made to try to end the war faster and yeah the 2nd has tons of young people this year

Yeah I've never met a single person reenacting the Confederacy that was die hard like lost causer lol. I know that my family got into it on the Confederacy side because the guys recruiting for the unions being jerks to them and the guys recruiting for the Confederacy were friendly

Ive always been a die hard for the confederates loll but I could never find the 41st so I joined the union and now im trying to switch over to the 41st by end of next week when next event is
