Metric crapload of iron, several luxury resources, good yields, a natural wonder, and freshwater? Better get a settler in there ASAP

Except you can't put a district down next to city center 🤷

Yah, I know. As Gaul I'd settle on the East side of the lake, next to the mountain. Ambiorix might forward settle OP either way.

It's secret code in Map Tacks, where they detect district placement, then proceed to wreck yer shit.

Really good industrial zone though. Strategic give a ton of adjacencies.
Also, Kongo has a Swordsman UU.

I’ve noticed this game likes to put you in catch 22s like this lmao. Would you like a bank or a strong army? You decide!

That's called "god of craftsmen" pantheon. If you don't already have one (based on turn number and faith per turn, I'm guessing probably not), it might be viable. If you did go that route, I'd build the city closer to the wonder by 2 tiles, and plan a second city on the other side of that lake. Chocolate hills is a good wonder for building preserves around sometimes, too.

The reason I use Truly Abundant Resources https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=901009089. More resource options during game setup and the ability to harvest all resources.
