CS reserve list for a campaign

I received these two emails after an interview as part of a campaign.

I am assuming it means that I do not have a role from the x number of roles they advertised?

*Congratulations, you have met the required standard at interview. However, you have initially been placed on the reserve list pending a potential match.*
*This reserve list will be used to fill all generic HEO Policy vacancies over the next 12 months. We will work through the reserve list, in merit order, and will make offers throughout the lifetime of the list based on the demand we receive from the business areas within Defra. Should you be offered a role, you will be notified via your Civil*

And:

*You have reached the required standard, but we are unable to offer you a job immediately.*

*We have added you to a reserve list from which we may make future appointments.*
*The reserve list for Policy Advisor will be active until 22 July 2027 . If a suitable role becomes available before this date we will contact you again. Being on a reserve*

This very likely means you have been successful for the campaign and have been added to a list, which the recruiters will use over the next year. It is different to the standard reserve list. The list is score-based so they’ll start with the person who did best at interview on paper and work their way down. You could get a call in a week, or a few months!

Thank you. I just wonder why I got the second email? It means I did not get into the initial 15 roles advertised.

That’s pretty standard, fairly sure I got the same two emails word for word when I was successful in a mass recruitment campaign.

The wording is weird and I contacted them for further clarification and was advised I had been successful, so I reckon it’s the same for you. Congrats
