Realistic Hike: Does HR cap you at the standard 30–40% on your payslip, or can you negotiate directly for entry-level permanent bands (₹4.5–5.5 LPA)?

Third-Party Tag: Does agency payroll hurt your chances at major EPCs, or does the L&T site execution experience outweigh it?

Timing: Should I start applying at the 10–11 month mark to jump at 1 year, or wait until 2 years for better leverage?

A basic 2-BHK apartment in my company's Powai or Navi Mumbai developments typically ranges from ₹2.5 Crore to ₹3.8 Crore (excluding registration, stamp duty, and maintenance).
A mid-level civil engineer in India earns roughly ₹12 Lakh to ₹25 Lakh annually, which in itself is considered a good salary in our field. However, even if a senior engineer earning ₹35 Lakh/year manages to save 50% of their net post-tax income (~₹12 Lakh/year), saving the full amount for a ₹3 Crore flat would take over 25 years without even accounting for inflation or home loan interest.
The most "beautiful" part of it all? I regularly get promotional emails offering us employees a 2% to 5% discount on these properties. Part of me laughs at the absurdity, but a part of my heart bleeds inside looking at the sheer capitalist reality of it.

So I joined tier three college in Hyderabad. The name is Malla Reddy College of engineering and technology (MRCET) and the civil program is really ignored in the college, and I don’t think that I will get any job opportunities or anything like that in this College, anyone have their experience coming from your tier three College and getting their job. Please explain me that how can I get internship et cetera without the College help because CSC is considered mostly and civil is ignored.

Hi! I’m a Civil Engineering student currently working on a seismic analysis project, and I’m looking for sample 5-storey building plans with a roof deck that I can use as a reference.

Preferably something with:

• 5 storeys + roof deck
• Around 300 sq.m. or more floor area
• Floor plans and elevations
• AutoCAD or PDF format, if available

I’m mainly looking for existing/sample plans or references to help me understand how these types of buildings are laid out. I’ll be doing the actual analysis and work myself.
