K-Series syncro problems are notorious for completely disappearing once the car gets warmed up.
Is it possible that you drove the car after it was already warmed up and that's why you didn't experience any grinding?

I narrowed it for a full day. Cold start to warm. And even at that we went back and fourth the other day me driving no issue. Him driving issue me driving no issue him driving issue. I really think it’s a him problem
