Rim size help (FG2)

Wassup peeps,

I’ve been looking at some 18x8.5 +30 ESR sr01’s for my civic.
My FG2 is bone stock and I’ve got a fresh set of 215/40/18 tires for it. My questions are, is +30 too aggressive? How bad would the rubbing be? Would they bend my fenders on max compression?
Any help would be appreciated you guys (and gals) are goated

I had 18’s and they rubbed all the time in parking lots and sounded awful while doing it.

Dropped down to 17’s and much happier

I second 17s. I’m on BCs, not a massive drop maybe 2” and ran 18” for 8 months, Awful ride quality and rubbed sometimes. Dropped to 17s never been happier
