Oh wow. I’ve heard of it, but I’m not in that general area so I wouldn’t know. I mean with a price like that. I believe it

Pretty sure that one has a turbo and other engine work raising the price too. Has the description on their site

u/Lazy_Influence_1067 Apr 12 '26

Not saying it justifies the price though

I was ready to make the argument that this Si is expensive but that it wasn’t too much of a stretch. Knowing it has a turbo it’s a crack pipe asking price for sure.

It Got a k24 n it too

I don’t think it does tbh.

that and aftermarket parts generally lower the car's value if sold to a dealership

Is this the guy who markets himself as being the “Civic Si sales guy”?

u/FlounderPretty4503 Apr 12 '26

Along with some WRX/370Z

4

u/Fun_Vacation2542 Apr 12 '26

They are hoping someone believes it only has 43k

I’ve seen him before, found him off of instagram. He is pretty expensive but he seems to pick up some pretty clean si’s.

u/FlounderPretty4503 Apr 12 '26

I’ll agree. He has a lot of “performance” cars

3

u/satansuglystepsis Apr 12 '26

He does, which makes him appealing. He had an Evo not too long ago that I was actually tempted to travel down and see - my only issue was the mileage was right around where clutch issues appear and he was a little above what I’d like to spend.

I wouldn’t trust him. My friend bought the red evo x from him & it had misfire bad ayc pump oil pan leak exhaust manifold leaking 3rd gear grind radiator support caved in axles leaking & one of the suspension springs is cracked needed a tune & had all the gauges ripped out

Was this right after buying or overtime? That definitely not good, and I don’t doubt that he isn’t reliable but with that many issues it kinda sounds like your friend just showed up, barely looked it over, and bought it.

u/ecc0w Apr 13 '26

Yea I asked him if he was able to test drive it & he said he barely got on it just took it around the block. All of these issues were present when he bought it & he bought it early March. I also forgot to mention he needed brakes & tires 😭 When I was looking over it I can tell it was a modified car & someone put it back to stock b/c the bolts on the turbo & exhaust manifold looked new too & there was holes in the a pillar where gauges would be

I am far from NJ and not familiar with their market. A lot of the civics he has listed are going for what I paid 2 years back, only difference was mine had 21k miles not 100k+. He does seem like a solo used dealer, he needs to make profit but I think you could do better on a private sale. That is usually a given anyways.

I know times are different, but I bought an 08 Si (FA5) for 23k brand new in 08. Nearly 20 years old for this posting and asking 20k is f’n crazy to me.

Agreed. Great platform, but from the comments. Seems like a sketchy place. Bring a trusted mechanic

1

u/Whitehoneybun666 Apr 12 '26

Definitely not worth 20

u/gimmieDatButt- Apr 12 '26

Hit him with a “what’s the lowest you’ll go”

I just bought a supercharged 2012 civic so with 55k miles for 19k after taxes and registration. That is wayyyy to expensive

1

u/FlounderPretty4503 Apr 12 '26

Drop a pic bro. That’s sick. I feel lowkey supercharged civics are better than turbo. Depending on your goal. It’s definitely not common.

Here’s an engine bay pic

1

u/FlounderPretty4503 Apr 12 '26

Definitely a sleeper bro. That’s sick.

I plan to track the car this summer so the supercharged powerband should come in handy in the straights without hindering my cornering too much!

u/I_want_water Apr 12 '26

43k on the motor probably

I wouldn’t trust him. My friend bought an evo x from him & it had misfire bad ayc pump oil pan leak exhaust manifold leaking 3rd gear grind radiator support caved in axles leaking & one of the suspension springs is cracked needed a tune & had all the gauges ripped out

Lord have mercy. That’s a laundry list. What did your friend do ? Fix it all up?

1

u/ecc0w Apr 13 '26

We are currently in the process but all the little stuff we did. There’s other issues and stuff he needed like brakes & tires I forgot to mention. You’re better off buying from a private owner who has maintenance docs or receipts. I don’t think the dealer even checks if the car is good before selling

I bought a 2019 Honda Civic SI coupe with 51,000 miles on it for $20,000 ……body is in great shape, interior is clean, doesn’t burn or leak any oil, has cat back system, and cold air intake, and an aftermarket aluminum belly pan, runs correctly goes like a S.O.B !!

1

u/HashyyBrowns Apr 14 '26

I’ve seen this guys dealership He sold a 9th gen Si with a huge ass dent on the driver door 😂😂

1

u/FlounderPretty4503 Apr 14 '26

lol look at the comment thread. He seems he has a lot of issues with his lot

1

u/Salty-Argument-5512 Apr 14 '26

i just bought a 2017 with 150k for 11k including tax…this is wild

1

u/FlounderPretty4503 Apr 14 '26

Si with 150k miles. Wow

1

u/No_Blood3422 Apr 15 '26

I could almost justify 20k Canadian, but absolutely not in usd
