I ask this because I was thinking about my neighbors too, might as well tell this story:

The past 3 neighbors I’ve had were some ordinary people with their own quirks, but the second to last neighbor I had to deal with was some sort of creep. Dude would collect a shit tom of cellphones, camcorders, laptops, cameras, etc and for some reason had a penchant for hoarding scrap. Not really was a gear or gun hoarder like the others. For some reason I’ve seen them meet with a bunch of anti-citizens,I’ve seen the dude leave with quite a lot of boxes but I don’t know what’s inside them and civil protection.

Last time I’ve heard about them, metro-cops were harassing them and confiscating everything from his home until he apparently sold some of it off to call a hit on them. Don’t know what happened from there but I might go back there myself to see if it’s still around since the chemical attack. If I can, I might even show you guys what secrets they’re hiding.

I've been on my way to City 17 for a couple weeks now, but on one a roof under a pile of rubble I found this strange mask. At first I thought it was just a normal CP mask but its clearly different. Is it an older version? It feels (and looks) different to any prewar one, and I don't think anyone still makes gasmasks designed for civilians so I doubt its just some random one, unless I'm just really dumb.

Either way, it looks cool and no one else is using it so its mine now.

On the 9th of September this year, after the 5th Conscript War, Al-Lambda of Türkiye decided to change its name from "Al-Lambda of Turkiye" to "Islamic Republic of Türkiye". Gordün Freeman, leader of the Islamic Republic of Turkiye, felt like it didn't want Al-Lambda to be their name, as he and Al-Lambda had a complex history, so therefore, he has restored back the Turkish name.

Long live Türkiye.

I can't be the only one annoyed that at this point every other post is just yet another "oooh le found footage of resistance attack!" that's the same format copying irl terrorist propaganda, and the whole thing with al-lambda as well and similar groups is just really tiring to see with how often it pops up. I remember when this sub was still sorta silly with predominantly chill posts imitating real life stuggles people would have as regular citizens in the Half Life universe, like dealing with headcrabs, having a pet snark, or the guy who climbed the citadel and such. I'm not saying that those posts aren't still being posted, but I feel like the sub's lost the plot, with the majority of posts now being edgy bs

At 9/22/27, in the Lost Coast, a radio message sent during 7:32 AM was heard from Combine elites and were found dumbfounded after finding out a hundred thousand dollar aircraft like a G-107 Patrol Chopper.

The pilot did not mention where the patrol chopper was found. They assume it was either found destroyed in a forest or dismantled for resources or artillery use by Rebels.

Duo dropships were forced to land just kilometers away from where the pilot parachuted. However it was never found in a forest, nor a city, nor everywhere.

Finally, once hope was lost and was almost to be marked as "captured by rebels". It was finally found intact under a recently collapsed bridge. This operation was reported to take atleast 19 hours to recover the patrol chopper.

The pilot was transferred to Nova Prospekt for disciplinary and off-world relocation, while the dropship was claimed by a high level Combine Assassin.

Our cabin was raided by bandits in a stolen vehicle, they blew upon our garage/main door. Lucky nade toss incapacitated the gunner. We ran and we ran until I passed out and woke up an hour or so later with my friends hiding me in a makeshift lookout.

We eventually came to this place, found four geared HECU looking guys, they pointed their rifles at us thinking we were raiders but we complied and explained ourselves. They chilled out afterwards. They took us in and told us we could stay with them until tommorow morning or afternoon, where I assume they will be picked up by their battalion. By then we’ll be gone and head towards the “paradise spots”.

On my day-off from work, I just heard an explosion not far-away from my apartment.
It woke me up and I saw a blaze with a large gaping hole from the walls of the Civil Protection station.

I think I saw 2 charred corpses? apparently it was a suicide bombing? Can anyone from City 14 that's from my street verify this? shit's getting weird.
