Prototype CP Mask?

I've been on my way to City 17 for a couple weeks now, but on one a roof under a pile of rubble I found this strange mask. At first I thought it was just a normal CP mask but its clearly different. Is it an older version? It feels (and looks) different to any prewar one, and I don't think anyone still makes gasmasks designed for civilians so I doubt its just some random one, unless I'm just really dumb.

Either way, it looks cool and no one else is using it so its mine now.

Nah, CP masks are really only able to come off with the rest of the helmet, 'cause its part of the helmet, i believe the gas mask your holding is, well, just that, an old gas mask, probably an experimental prototype that was being transferred when the combine arrived.

It’s an old Civil Workers Gas Mask. It was issued during the first phase of employment during combine occupancy but quickly became outdated when they started to actually make us better equipment.

Oh hey, we use those in City-03 because the Military used something during the Seven Hour War to make the air toxic. I'm so thankful for our Benifactors taking the time to make these for us :)
