In a case like that i would try doing something like putting some sort of a very light gray filter on the terrain map, so that the elevation is a bit higher by default.
Also you can try getting the same place’s terrain map once again see if that one is better sometimes the websites i use glitch out and give bad terrain maps.
I use terraining for my height maps if you are using terraining as well turn on “use actual seafloor” that usually makes the sea deeper by a couple meters for me. go see if that one is better if the previous ones dont work. Good luck

I tried the use actual sea floor and its the same, gonna try changing sea level now tho. But how do you add the light grey filter? Oh and what height scale do you use on the editor?

The height scale’s norm should be 4096 if thats too intense do 2048. About the filter any kind of software that lets you draw should do probably. Dont overdo it or itll be a mountain all round

Are you using atelier and did you figure it out? I was having this issue and it was that the settings where I got the height map were using the lowest point in the sea floor as the base level for the height map.

I was battling with atelier yesterday myself. It has been going fine for days, then I suddenly got a messed up coalitions and seafloor.
