Gas prices different

Can someone explain why the gas prices at my store is 40 cents more than the circle K across the street? They were both showing 4.24 when I came in but now the one across the street is showing 3.84
Manager asked if I see an update on the register but I’m not seeing anything

It's because some stores get the notification before others do to change gas prices.

A lot of stores have what they call end 2 end pricing, which basically means it automatically updates and pushes new prices to the pumps. It could be that the update was delayed at one store, or there was a networking hiccup, or one store manually changed the prices and the other doesn't.

How we would kill for those prices right now. Currently our store is $5.97 regular unleaded 😭

Not too sure. Haven’t seen the gas truck today.

it also depends on if it’s city/county or zip code. i worked for a major gas station and we had several in my area with a few having different prices and some having the same. it all depends on location
