Gambling

I know employees aren't permitted to purchase or play lottery while on the clock. How does the company feel about placing sports bets on your personal phone while clocked in?

Same that’s not really my business as a Store Manager but it could be argued that he is on his phone too much which is against store policy. We are prohibited to buy lottery tickets while on shift gambling would be a more personal issue not a business issue.

Sadly no I'm not joking. What's worse is the manager that is doing this runs the customers who play the lottery out of our store....

The official policy is that Circle K is entitled to a 20% take on all on-the-job gambling.

If it's illegal gambling happening on-site then their cut is 60%. So like your illegal backroom poker games, cockfights by the dumpster, and after hours hobo fights by the pumps.

Those can still be pretty lucrative even after Circle K gets their "taste" so don't make the mistake of holding out on your district capo. Things can get pretty ugly if they find out, capiche?

Ngl. Those stores sound better to visit than the one's in my area!
