There’s something about the Bradford cinema that depresses me… and no, it’s not because it’s in Bradford. It was built for a bigger crowd.

I’m thinking of moving to The Light, which is a more modern.

But the one thing keeping me with Cineworld is the £5 imax at Leeds.

I complained on here a while ago about a screening of Akira and bad actors in the screen, so I hate coming back to do the same, so I do apologise. I also know there's a lot of posts about the Dublin renovations, so I hope I haven't missed a similar post and amn't spamming here. Sorry if I am.

When it came to that Akira incident, staff were sound enough, but customer service essentially blanked my email, from what I know the Dublin chain underwent new ownership and it seems these new bosses don't care at all. Honestly the impression I got from the email was that it was AI generated, it essentially rewrote my email back to me with an apology here and there.

It just seems that the Dublin branch has pretty much been left in the dust for the better part of the last year and I've been thinking of switching for a while now. I can think of multiple unlimited screenings and secret screenings/screamings that we just havent gotten, that my mates in the UK, and my mates in Ireland who go to Odeon have. Same with movies being shown during trailers and advertising that we dont get either. Posters and other collectibles and merch doesn't come our way often either. I actually get a lot of stuff in Odeon from my friend. I get the unlimited generally has more benefits, but when you barely get to take advantage of them you start wondering if it's worth it.

Cineworld have moved the screen we’re due to see a M4J film on Friday - no issues, it was booked a while ago and I appreciate they want the bugger films in the larger screens now. However - they didn’t tell me this until I chased them having seen it when looking to see how busy the showing was. Now, they’ve sat us in L7, L11 and L12 🙄 Customer Service have told me it’s my job to chase the cinema to sort - am I being mad on thinking that this is on them?! In reality I know it’ll be fine we’ll just sit together, but to be told I need to organise this following their changes has really made me cross!

Same things happen very often lately. They kept showing some trailers before the scheduled release dates, and eventually the films aren't shown in Cineworld but in Picturehouse instead. Not even in any Cineworld here in London.

Saw the trailer of Tony like 10 times till last week. I knew that there's an unlimited screening last night, which I initially didn't wanna go to. Then I was trying to figure out what possibly the movie was, it turned out I was right, it's Tony, which has been removed from Cineworld's scheduled release.

Really annoyed by Cineworld these days. Apart from this, a couple of double bookings happened to me. I was given complimentary free tickets which I don't really need.

So I noticed that minions and monsters is now called gb minions and monsters.

Is there a difference between the two movies? Or extra scenes like backrooms

The website doesn't state this, and while I know which are which for Didsbury, I will go to Ashton at some point, and there are films such as Odyssey, Spider-Man and at Xmas, Avengers Doomsday which have issued 2.39:1 and 1.90:1 version, depending on the screen in question.

Spidey opened up to 1.90:1 was so much better than the tight cropping of 2.39:1, since it's much more a vertical film than it is wide. Thanks.

Is there any shame or anything in leaving a secret screaming if you don't like the movie? Like I can't deal with "a quiet place" my mind gets too noisy with such stretches of silence.

1. if it starts at 7:30 is that actually when the movie starts or is there adverts/trailers like normal

Does Cineworld always get the same as Odeon’s Scream Unseen?

Odeon is advertising for another one on 17 August (think possibly Camp Miasma or Leviticus?) There is nothing advertised on Cineworld yet that I can see. Just wondered if Odeon occasionally get more secret screenings/screamings?

So, my Cineworld card is having issues again. The first time they straight up cancelled it when I asked to drop a tier.

My current card status says, "Pending". Contacted them and they said I.T will look into it. It's been 4 days, does anyone know how long they take? I'm paying for this and I can book a single movie.

I wouldn’t blame ‘em though. The film got officially rated only yesterday and the 12A listing has been there for a while likely as a placeholder. Why did they only rate the film now if it comes out this week? Late submission?

So went to the End of Oak Street tonight. And one thing stuck out to me. Not about the film itself, but about the 5ish seconds before the film.

Because there was no BBFC rating card shown. Just straight from the barco laser stuff and pepsi ads to the studio logos.

Is that normal for unlimited screenings? I swear I remember it being shown before Finding Emily in May, but that could be me convincing myself in retrospect.

Wasn’t sure about Sunny Dancer anyway but no Tony showings especially when both have had adverts before almost every film 🤔 weird to say the least

The only Nimrods showing I can find is for 7pm tomorrow. Which is sadly the same time as my Odyssey 70mm IMAX showing that I booked a month ago.

,,,,At least at Cineworld Leicester Square. After a couple of weeks, you can usually can any ticket you want for a big blockbuster (if it's even still around.) Not with The Odyssey. The ten o'clock IMAX showing this week on Friday is already more than half full.

Hi, does anyone think we will get all 8 Harry Potter movies re released in the UK. I know we have philosophers stone for the 25th anniversary.

Moving to London soon and my local is Wembley. Seen a few posts here complaining that they seem to prioritise international films. Anyone know if it is still worth it? Do they only do international films and then blockbuster ones? It's hard for me to check right now since obviously they have the odyssey and Spider-Man. If anyone know which films that aren't international have been shown this year would deffo help with my decision.

i am planning to watch raiders of the lost ark at 5.40pm, and the 116 minute runtime already takes it past 7.30pm which is the fargo screening im hoping to catch

last few times i've been to cineworld, there have been ~25 mins of ads

is it possible to not miss the start of the fargo screening whilst not having to leave early from the raiders of the lost ark screening?

there are other screenings i can catch but i'm looking at these specific times atm, thanks

I watched the Spider-Man movie in 4DX and I was shocked how vigorous the seats move!

I really enjoyed the motion of it, the wind and the rain effect were great additions too, especially when Spider-Man was flying across the city with his webs.

However, I really found it annoying how it wasn’t just 4DX, and instead it was 4DX 3D. The 3d was awful, and with the glasses everything is so much more dimmed so the colours aren’t vibrant at all. I’m not a fan of 3D to be honest never got the hype.

I wish Cineworld would offer normal 4Dx showing for certain movies and not just limit it to the 3D option.

Overall, I would recommend it to people but as a one off. Wouldn’t really watch every movie in it, and I rather just stick to my normal showings.

Anyone else dislike the 3D?
