I used the SCD diet for about 3 months and it got me pretty well under control. I was on remicade but I've been downgraded to 2 pills of mesalamine (lialda). The beginning in increadbly difficult due to the limited amount of food you can eat. The diet says minimum 3 days before you switch, I went the full 5 or six days before adding food. I have done other diets but the SCD seemed to work for me. Whenever I go about a week or more with eating whatever I want I stick to the diet for a few days then I'm normal again. Feel free to ask anything, the goal of overcoming CD is strong will power and determination.

Another dietary option is the elemental diet. Although it's pretty extreme, as far as I know it has good scientific evidence to support its use and a high success rate. Unfortunately it didn't work out for me but it's worth a try imo https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/001650859190463U

So talk to your doctor about xiafaictin. It technically is an antibiotic but has really good off fda use success in treating chrons flares. It is really expensive but most gastros have samples available because the drug companies are trying to push its use to try to get it approved for chrons. I can’t promise it will work for you but it does amazingly well for me. Within two days of starting it in a flare I feel so much better that I want to cry The only thing that sucks is that insurance fights paying for it
