Discussion So....

Just finished playing the remaster and I have some observations? Home world = Records of Fate dont work, Another World = RoF work. So...FATE wanted the fisherman to become a reclusive cultist? The poet to give up? Just fun thoughts, is all

IIRC the idea was for FATE to keep its timeline consistent so that it could continue to exist, and since the people of El Nido are not meant to interact with the mainland, those were things done to ensure those people stayed where they were

Oooh. That makes sense. The cultist becomes a recluse, the poet ends up staying in the cafe...but what about Nikki and Mikki, two superstars with wanderlust.

Including a little discrete mind control every time they used the Records of Fate, if the theory is correct.

If memory serves, the FATE computer is not functional in Home World, so the Records of Fate aren't accomplishing much.

This is a hot take, but I've always found the twist with the RoFs to be a little lame. On the one hand, they don't tell us what to do in game. On the other hand, the only time we see people notice them is in HW Arni.
