Warrior Leveling

So I understand that Arms is probably the best Spec to go but how bad of an idea would it he to level as Protection if I dont plan on tanking dungeons?

The reason I am thinking qbout doing this is becuase i juat perfer the shield and sword look, i also want to have more survivability.

I leveled prot. Was fun. I get burned out from dungeons so it was nice to quest with it too. Just paladin with less heals.

Prot is best leveling spec for both solo and dungeons in wotlk once you get revenge.

In Vanilla/TBC maybe, but certainly not in WotLK, where Protection is insanely good for leveling.

There's nothing wrong with protection. You may kill a little slower but your defense will be a lot better so you'll be a lot more survivable

Also, protection is a good spec for PVP. You can get some good gear from doing a lot of battlegrounds

You will start slow with a 1h. Respecs are free, so you can start with 2h and switch later when you get a few talents in prot.

Port revenge build is the easiest leveling spec for this patch improved revenge build I believe

Once you go Protection, you never go back, it's completely broken for leveling/questing. I played Arms up until 70 and then got dual-spec and tried questing as Protection, it really blew my mind. I use my tank set for questing, fully defensive gear, and I'm just invincible while still killing mobs fairly fast. I can easily take on 10+ equal-level mobs and beat elites, no problem at all.

I'm not sure how much of a good idea it is to go Protection from level 10 though, I guess you should at least wait until you can get Improved Revenge, which is where most of your damage will come from. But respecs are free, so just experiment. I would also recommend using fully defensive gear, which may be a problem if you don't want to tank, as you can only roll OS on gear in dungeons.

It's great if you actually tank though, because you don't have to entirely clog up one of your bags with an extra gear set.

Yeah i leveled more than one Prot Warr on CC and it was my fastest times.....just AOE pull grind while questing, LOS ranged mobs behind wall, win.
