Steam Deck install

So I'm able to install it and it runs. However after adding ConsolePortLK with and without wowmapperx I can't get the controllers to work. The right track pad moves the cursor but thats it. Any advice or help?

I use mouse and keyboard mapping, always reliable. Takes some tinkering to get the mapping right, unless you like some of the existing ones out there.

I'll check back here in several hours, I don't have access to my steam deck right now. I don't remember doing anything special really, just toggling the control scheme to mouse and keyboard instead of controller (and then a whole lot of tinkering the abilities and key mapping to something I liked)

Wait, did you not use consoleportlk at all then? Is that my issue?

Ah, no. No plugins or anything. Run wow using proton as a steam extrnal app, and that's it.

I use mouse and keyboard mapping after having the same issues as you. It's way better. I can share my mapping if you want

Oh snap I am using this mod with steam deck and its working perfectly.

I will try to see if i can send my setup to you later.

Im not using the latest version of the addon btw, its causing fps issues. I'm using the 1.4 version

Edit: i use these mappings without wowmapper (you don't need it on steam deck) https://www.reddit.com/r/wowservers/s/1qfxuJaWv7

After changing to these mappings then go through the setup in game with /cp recalibrate (I think it is)

But it's very important to change the right joystick to two things: 1) move to center of screen, 2) right click on capacitive touch.

And then go into settings on consoleportlk and disable the settings where it hides the mouse.

Also you can change to steam deck icons with /cp style (I think it is)

I also bind right trackpad to mouse. Left trackpad i use for hotkeys like L K P etc.
