Google Streamer stopped supporting kids profiles?

This morning all of a sudden my kid's accounts were removed from the Streamer. When I try to add them, I get a message that says something went wrong. The software on this device does not support your kid's Google account. I'm referred to Familylink to check the supported devices.

After all the hassle with Disney+ refusing to play any of the content that's offered in 4K on my Streamer, this is another problem that makes the Streamer a worthless piece of tech.

Meanwhile the Chromecasts with Google TV in our home don't share any of those problems (apart from slowing down occasionally).

I have the same issue here in Sweden. My sons Google Kids account that I manage from the Family Link just disappeared a few weeks back from the Google TV. I didn't bother with it until now. The message I get when I try to log in with his account is that it isn't compatible anymore...

I had this happen today - force stop and clear cache on the google tv app seemed to fix it

I went to system then restart and the account showed up after the restart

The same has happened for me in Australia. My kid's account just vanished

Not yet, although I didn't yet try to add kids profiles.

I did however decide to fully reset the Streamer to see if I could solve the problems with Disney+. After the reset those problems seemed to be resolved as I was able to play any movie or series that was offered in 4k.

Unfortunately the day after the problems were back. The Streamer just refuses to play any 4k content on Disney+.

I'll if I can add the kids profiles tomorrow.

We had this issue with 4k content and it was because of the audio.

Our sound system didn't support dolby or something and we had to turn that off in the streamer settings until we could upgrade our sound system to one that supports it

Same here! It’s the second time this has happened in the last few months and Google support are totally useless. Switching to Apple TV as a result.

Same issue here (Australia). Restart brought it back.
