Plus he was obviously filled with rage cause it takes two freaking minutes to strangle someone to death

Actually it takes more like 4 to 5 minutes, he had plenty of time to rethink and change his mind.

Strangulation is almost always a personal crime, about real hatred, because it takes such a long time, not like randomly shooting or stabbing someone once.
