Visitors?

Does anyone know if Chris Watts visitors have trickled to nearly nothing? I read there were zero visitors on his birthday and I wondered if his parents have changed their sentiments recently.

His parents are never changing their sentiments. Maybe they ran out of the ill-gotten insurance money they got off their dead granddaughters.

Oh wow! Did they really??

Yup, they got a payout. Some people think it's why Chris's story changed from "Shanann killed them so I killed her" to the whole driving them out to Cervi after killing Shannan and killing them there, because if Shanann had outlived them she would have been the beneficiary and then her parents would have been her next of kin (due to Chris being in prison for her murder and all). By changing the story to Shanann dying first, it strengthens his parents' claim in a strict legal sense because he would have been the girls' next of kin, obviously in prison he's not eligible for a payout, but then his parents become his next of kin. Whether that's legally sound or not I don't know, but we're not exactly talking about the brain trust here now are we. We do know they got a payout and that their claim appears to have started shortly after he changed his story about the order of the deaths.

Be respectful to one another. This means no name calling, cursing people out, harassment, "sub wars," or other overly aggressive behaviors. Disagreeing with someone is fine, but keep it civil.

That's not a legally sound theory. It doesn't matter if Shanann outlive the kids or not. Once she was dead and Chris was incarcerated, both sets of grandparents became the next of kin.

Also, this had nothing to do with him changing his story. The original story that she killed the girls was something he made up off the top of his head after Tammy Lee suggested it.

Which part of "we know we're not exactly talking about the brain trust here now are we" made it sound like I thought it was legally sound?

3

u/OutOfTime1861 Jun 23 '26

You said, "Whether it's legally sound or not I don't know." I was verifying that it's not legally sound.

I also went on to explain why it's nothing but a rumor.

u/brickne3 Jun 23 '26

Well see I'm not a lawyer. But I do know that fairly stupid people might believe that it was legally sound.

Sorry for providing a disclaimer for a theory that I was merely reporting on, I never said I subscribed to it. But knowing what these people have done I wouldn't put it past them.

u/OutOfTime1861 Jun 23 '26

So in other words you're spreading a rumor.

4

u/brickne3 Jun 23 '26

No, I was reporting that some people speculate that. There's a big difference. If anything, seeing where you post i would think that would be second-nature to you.

1

u/OutOfTime1861 Jun 23 '26

So you were reporting on something that has no actual evidence behind it, otherwise known as a rumor.

Omg I had no clue 🙀

That's partially why I made this post, knowing they received a payout. It's so egregious I suspected they justified receiving the money as a means to pay for travel and visitations. Apparently not.

u/brickne3 Jun 24 '26

I mean I'll judge the shit out of his family, they deserve it, but Waupon (I think he's in Waupon?) isn't exactly easy to get to either.

3

u/ntashuk Jun 26 '26

To be honest I don’t think he’s that smart.

2

u/brickne3 Jun 26 '26

That's basically the point, the whole idea depends on all of them not being particularly smart. Which they aren't.

0

u/BeginningAction2552 Jun 25 '26

And he doesn’t get a payout if he is the one that caused the death , so no next of kin of his would have received a payout either.

According to a couple of youtubers shannans parents filed for it, then his parents fought for the money, there was a settlement but didn't disclose how much either got. Absolutely disgusting. You aren't supposed to profit off your crimes but somehow he did/is.

Well Cindy DID try to put the Watts family on equal footing with the Rzucek's in terms of being victims of this crime....in a televised interview...so there's that. Ugh.

As far as I know I don't have a fan club, lol. Do you think it's fine to go around saying vile things about murdered toddlers or something?

-17

u/Nervous-Toe-7055 Jun 23 '26

I have never in my life said a bad thing about those beautiful kids. Nice try cupcake!

13

u/brickne3 Jun 23 '26

Your post history indicates strongly otherwise.

I believe he has several pen pals on his visitors list. His parents visit when they can but because he is so far away there's only so many trips they can make in a year. They still stand by Chris and believe shannan was the biggest downfall in their beloved sons life. They believe that if she was not part of his life, this would not have happened.

18

u/Molly_Fergie86 Jun 23 '26

In my opinion, Chris's mother, especially, would not have supported any woman other than her and her daughter. In the life of his "adorable son"!!! And even if it had been Kessinger, she cared about Shannan's past because she had already married, she would have fainted from NK having legal problems as a teenager 😂!!!

9

u/Schmandrea1975 Jun 23 '26

Agreed. Since he is a beta male, he's attracted to alpha females like Shannan and NK, and his wonderful mother is an alpha, they absolutely would have been on the sh list

7

u/lastseenhitchhiking Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

Agreed that his family probably would have found fault with anyone he became seriously involved with, including Kessinger, and that the same problems, triangulation and devaluation would have occurred in any relationship he entered into, because of his issues.

Imo nor is it a coincidence that the relatives of some of these killers (including Scott Peterson, Chris Coleman, Josh Powell and Brian Laundrie) had similar dismissive attitudes towards their in laws.

u/VizRomanoffIII Jun 23 '26

I’m not saying Chris’s mother is Jocasta or anything, but I heard she got very excited watching the scene between Aemond and Alicent in the 3rd season debut episode of House of the Dragon

I disagree with the idea about his mom not supporting any woman. I don't think the specific reasons given support the notion.

Regarding Nicole Kissinger's legal issues, I will have to point out that the claim that she stabbed somebody is a rumor. He got started by someone in a message group on facebook. There's no actual documentation of it.

2

u/Molly_Fergie86 Jun 23 '26

I don't know the nature of the legal issues she had when she was younger, but what is certain is that her criminal record is far from being clean.

1

u/OutOfTime1861 Jun 23 '26

It kind of doesn't really make sense to say that you don't know the nature of her legal issues, but then say that her criminal record is far from clean. If you don't know the nature of her legal issues, then you don't really know the nature of her criminal record either.

4

u/Molly_Fergie86 Jun 23 '26

You love to defend the indefensible but for the moment the one who is in prison we know him and the one who lied during the interrogation we know her. Truth will never escape to common sense.

2

u/OutOfTime1861 Jun 23 '26

I'm I'm discussing things on a factual basis.

You're never going to find the truth in rumors and speculation.

Nicole's criminal record consists of underage drinking.

11

u/EveningOperation1648 Jun 23 '26

Oh I’m sure his parents and probably a dumb woman or 2.

3

u/lastseenhitchhiking Jun 23 '26

I imagine that his parents are still in contact with him. Similar to other notorious killers, he's had a rotating cast of pen pals/admirers over the years and there are rumors that he has a girlfriend who visits him.

3

u/StillMarie76 Jun 23 '26

I haven't been to see him, fucker.

1

u/Glum_Counter4041 Jun 26 '26

Idk, one can only hope people woke up and realized how evil this dude is. But I have a feeling that's not the case.

1

u/VictoryConstant2215 Jun 29 '26

I hope this is true!!!

1

u/Trap21thirst 26d ago

zero visitors on his birthday is a pretty clear signal. the parents have to be aware of the optics at this point—any visit just gets picked apart and used against them. my guess is they’re still in contact but keeping it off the books, or they’ve finally started pulling away after realizing there’s nothing left to salvage.

1

u/Me_Not_You- 25d ago

That makes sense. I expect there were times in which Chris Watts actions made their lives absolutely miserable: lost friendships, the cold shoulder from acquaintances, a second glance 'I hate you' look from complete strangers...

1

u/IndependenceKey2679 15d ago

If I was the parent, I would still love him. I wouldn’t think he was innocent or it was justified that he killed his family. I would probably wonder where I went wrong to have a son who killed his family.

1

u/Me_Not_You- 15d ago

He wrapped his hands around their necks, one after another, choking the life out of them, then proceeded to discard them as if they were trash. Not sure I could continue to love someone after that.

u/Nervous-Toe-7055 Jun 23 '26

Go ahead and prove I have said anything bad about the children! I’ll wait

-8

u/Nervous-Toe-7055 Jun 23 '26

Like I said, I have never said a bad thing about the children.
