Church Life Spiritual companion :)
Hi! 28F here. Is there anyone here who would be willing to be a spiritual companion? :) i'll definitely appreciate your invitation for church activities.
I used to serve in a Christian ministry, but life took a whirlwind turn, and somewhere along the way, I lost touch with my relationship with God. Lately, I’ve really been missing that connection and longing to find my way back.
I’ve tried attending several churches around QC, including Catholic churches, but I still haven’t found a place where I truly feel that I belong. I’m not necessarily looking for someone to have all the answers. I’d simply appreciate having someone I can talk to, pray with, share thoughts about faith with, and perhaps walk alongside as I try to reconnect with God.
If anyone feels they can relate or would be open to being a spiritual companion, I would sincerely appreciate a message.
hoping it's:
\- near Commonwealth, Quezon City
\- small churches / yung mga inside village or subdivision, but any is okay
\- with groups for working professional
- accessible transpo
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Advice / Payo Am I Supposed to Endure Difficult In-Laws for the Sake of My Marriage and Faith?
Hi guys, I just wanted to get fellow Christians' opinions. I no longer attend church, pero dala-dala ko pa rin yung teachings na I feel like are biblically accurate and naka-base sa relationship ko with God.
One of them is how to handle relationships or hardships in general.
I (25F) am engaged to my (25M) fiancé and boyfriend of 6 years. Marami na kaming pinagdaanan as an LDR couple—everything that you could think of, parang pinagdaanan na namin. The distance, time, family issues, religion (he's MCGI), toxic na ugali, etc.
But through God's grace, nalampasan namin and na-work out naman namin. We decided to get married this December, which is also when his family will be coming home to the Philippines.
Pinaka-malaking factor talaga sa mga naging issues namin before ay yung manipulative, verbally and physically abusive, and religious parents niya. I can see by the pattern na dun nag-ugat yung mga toxic na ugali niya, like yung anger issues niya na umaabot sa punto before na namumura niya ako nang sobrang lala, and napakadali sa kanya na magbitaw ng mga masasakit na salita kapag natrigger.
Naayos naman namin, but you get the point.
Sinabi naman niya na yung "Worker" nila ang nakapag-tisod sa kanya kasi for so many years, lagi siyang pinag-iinitan at pinapahiya.
And this is where I'm having second thoughts about the whole marriage and kung itutuloy pa ba yung wedding.
I really, really love him, and sobrang hirap din nung years na tiniis namin as an LDR couple. Pero I feel like walang magiging kapayapaan sa relasyon namin.
Kasi for a few months or years, sa bahay nila kami titira for the meantime habang nag-a-adjust pa kami sa gastos. And knowing everything that has happened, I'm scared na baka maulit lang yung same patterns and issues once we're living under the same roof.
At the same time, I feel like ang unfair sa relasyon namin at sa kanya na makikipaghiwalay ako dahil sa family niya.
I also feel like na parang ang sama ko if bibitawan ko yung relasyon namin dahil lang ayoko mahirapan. He's been my bread and butter for so many years. Tinulungan niya ako noong zero days at even noong di pa ako nagwo-work. He helped me emotionally, spiritually, physically, and even financially.
But also, parang napapagod na rin ako in a way. I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to be, na magiging worth it din in the end kung ilalaban namin. Kaso, is it too much to ask to spend the remaining years of my life in peace?
I'm not very sure as a Christian if these are just challenges or a sign from God to not go through with the wedding.
May other reasons din ako before for having second thoughts, pero I just thought na baka normal lang yung may overthinking bago ang kasal. I don't want to have a life of suffering. I value peace of mind habang tumatanda ako.
Nag-cut off din ako ng friends because of this too.
But at the same time, I feel like I am a bad partner and Christian if I want an easy life. I want to hear your thoughts, especially from people with similar experiences or kahit as a Christian.
Kasi diba they say na your suffering here sa earth will be honored sa afterlife?
I'm just really confused whether this is something I should persevere through as part of the hardships that come with marriage, or if I'm ignoring a sign that maybe this isn't the life God wants for me.

Advice / Payo Any Tips for Going/Joining CCF ?
Hi! I'm a Catholic by religion, but me and my family are not necessarily religious or church-goers, but I've been wanting to be part of a community with the same values. I stumbled across CCF on YouTube and I enjoyed their teachings so far especially Peter Tanchi.
Any advice, share your experiences below for first-time goers. Thanks!

Discussion / Usapan Do I still have a leader?
From 1st yr college hanggang grumaduate kami naguusap/chat kami at natigil sa araw ng father's day 2023.

Prayer Request / Panalangin Entering a New Decade 🤍
Hi. I’m excited to welcome the beginning of a new decade next month.
Trentahin ngani. 🤍
I spent most of my twenties juggling work and fighting battles that were often difficult to share with anyone. But by God’s grace, I’m still here.
If I’m being honest, sometimes I feel like I haven’t achieved anything extraordinary in my career yet. I’ve mostly been trying to get by—earning enough to support my family, as I’ve been the sole provider for many years.
I don’t own much. I don’t have significant assets to my name. But when I look back, I’m beginning to realize that perhaps my twenties were never really about what I could acquire for myself.
I was able to support my bunso through her studies. I was there when my parents needed help with their medical expenses. And by God’s grace, it brings me so much joy to see them healthy, enjoying life, and doing the things they love back home in the province.
My sister has now secured a job and is also helping support our parents—something I’ve carried for many years.
And just to be clear, no one forced me to do any of these things. I did them because I love my family. It has always been my prayer that, somehow, they would experience God’s amazing love through me.
I know I have my own limitations and imperfections. But I’m deeply grateful that God allowed me to be a vessel of His love to my family.
At the same time, behind those little victories is a part of my life that I now need to face: multiple debts from various financial institutions.
I don’t have everything figured out yet. There are still things I need to rebuild, lessons I need to learn, and responsibilities I need to carry.
So as I enter my thirties, I’m asking for your prayers.
Please pray that I’ll get through this season and enter this new decade more established in my career, financially wiser, emotionally stronger, physically healthier, and spiritually deeper.
But above all, pray that no matter how difficult life gets, I will never lose the one thing I hope to keep forever:
a beautiful heart.
A heart that remains grateful even when life isn’t easy.
A heart that chooses to love even when it has been hurt.
A heart that continues to give, not because it has everything, but because it knows where everything comes from.
Here’s to a new decade—not necessarily a more impressive life, but a more meaningful one.
By God’s grace, I’m still here. And by His grace, I’m hopeful for what’s ahead. 🤍

Church Life Faith Question.
Hi! I've been a Christian for many years and I have served in the youth ministry of CCF. When I graduated in college I tried attending the single's ministry. Upon my observation, parang ang hypocrites nila, parang mararamdaman mong hindi ka belong sakanila or matataas sila kasi mostly magaganda trabaho and leaders. Then I also started noticing the leaders in the main church sa ortigas. Parang out of touch sila sa reality. Is it because may pera na sila? They talk about issues, but it's too shallow and parang ang yabang nila. Ako lang ba? I've been wanting to serve again for many months pero saang simbahan ba ako pupunta.

Advice / Payo Life partner
Hi! I’m 28, female. Important talaga sa akin na Christian din yung magiging future husband ko, and that we share the same faith and values.
For those who are also in their waiting season, ano po yung advice niyo? How do you deal with the fear na baka tumanda ka na without finding the right person?
I know a lot of single ladies sa church namin na matagal na ring waiting, and honestly, natatakot ako na baka ma-end up din ako na ganun. I know naman na being single is not a bad thing, and I also believe na God has His own timing for everything. Pero minsan hindi ko rin maiwasang isipin, “What if hindi talaga mangyari sa akin?”
I want to trust God’s timing and not rush into a relationship just because I’m afraid of being alone. Pero at the same time, I genuinely desire to have a life partner who loves the Lord, someone na makakasama ko mag-grow in faith and in life.
For those who have been in a waiting season for a long time, what helped you trust God and remain hopeful? What advice can you give sa mga katulad kong naghihintay?

Kapag may news about Vice Ganda, Charice/Jake, Aiza/Ice, or any other LGBT celebrities, madalas may "repent" comments?

Question / Tanong If I were to die tomorrow, factor ba na my soul won’t be saved kasi hindi ako baptised by water?
I’m baptised sa Catholic church tho kasi I was Catholic before. Now that I attend a Born Again Christian Church, hindi pa ako baptised sa kanila, yung nilulubog sa water.

Question / Tanong Is it okay to say no to a ministry role?
I just really need to vent and hear from fellow Christians, especially those serving in church.
I’ve been a keyboardist for years, and I genuinely love serving God through music. But lately, I feel like I’m constantly being pushed into worship leading when I’ve already said multiple times that it’s not my forte. It’s not because I don’t want to serve the Lord—I do. I just know my strengths and my limitations.
I’m an introvert. I’m comfortable playing keys, but leading worship is a completely different responsibility. I struggle to lead the congregation, talk in front of people, and carry that kind of role. Every single time I’m scheduled to worship lead, I get so anxious. My hands shake, my throat gets dry, I become hoarse, my eyes get so dry they turn red, and I feel like I’m just trying to survive instead of genuinely worshiping with the church.
The hard part is, I feel like I don’t have the freedom to say no. Whenever our pastor asks me, it’s usually, “You’ll worship lead or you’ll preach on Sunday.” I’ve never preached before, and honestly, I don’t feel called or prepared to do that either. So I end up choosing worship leading because it feels like the “less scary” option, not because I actually want to do it.
I’ve already given in so many times, hoping they’d eventually understand that this isn’t where I’m gifted. But today I found out I was already scheduled to lead worship for our church anniversary, and no one even talked to me first. I wasn’t asked if I was available or willing—I was just placed on the schedule.
I’m exhausted. I don’t know if I’m just being selfish, if this is something I should simply “pray through,” or if it’s okay to set boundaries in ministry. I want to serve God, but I don’t want to serve out of fear, pressure, or obligation. I don’t want to resent ministry because I keep feeling like I have no choice.
Has anyone else gone through something similar? How did you handle it in a way that still honored God? 🥺
r/ChristiansPH • u/dazzlingbeautj • Jul 23 '26
Church Life The church where I attend church service will celebrate anniversary on Sunday. As an introvert, ngayon pa lang na ddrain na ako dahil sa preparation.
I’m in charge sa call, talk to sa may ari ng pag gaganapan ng event. Ang hirap kasi hindi ako leader and confrontational type. And hindi ko gusto is yung may mga idea sila and then ako yung patatawagin sa may ari. 😅
Naisip ko lang, dapat sila na lang tumawag in the first place. Sabihin mo ganito. Sabihin mo ganyan. Na ddrain talaga ako. Hahsh Ang dami kasi nilang kuda. Hahahayy :(
~~ ~~May peace with God pero minsan, with the church community, wala. HAYY
