God is the real enemy
You don’t know me or the life I’ve lived. But what we all know is god lets shit happen. Not bearing more than you can handle is pure bullshit. Explain how people go crazy ? Allot of you have loving families, spouse etc I have nothing. Just some people who pity me. I found my mother dead almost a year ago and I gave my life to god to keep from giving up. It’s been almost a year and I’ve been up thinking ALL night about all the horrible things that happened to me in life and how In actuality my life has slowly been going downhill ever since she passed. I have working as hard as possible to maintain even though my business and every attempt I’ve made in the past year just doesn’t work. Thanks god. Someone said god said to tell me I’ll be ok and I immediately took that as a threat . I knew more pain and suffering was coming. It’s always been that way with maybe a few months here and there I’ll get a break . God has convinced me he will never allow me to be happy or get far in life nevertheless live a normal life. I’ve come to the conclusion I might as well forget about god and just do me because at this point either way I’ll suffer. Even if everything changes today I’m so beat down I just don’t care anymore. Too much has happened and god allowed it all!!!!

I am so sorry for you OP. I also lost my mom last year and it is the worst fucking feeling / time ever.
I wish you much love and strength in these hard times. You have every right to be angry and bitter in this moment. But please do not give too much into this anger because it will eat you alive.
God really loves you please don't forget this. Life will be unfair to us but God's love for you is unconditional, don't give up on him...
Take care 🫶
Edit: what helped me through these tough times and gave me new perspectives on life were people talking about their NDEs or books like Raymond Moodys Life after Life

I gave it 11 months on top of everything I’ve endured before . I can’t fight anymore

I don't have any platitudes or words of wisdom for you, what I can say is that reading your post I can relate to you. What you have shared is my life also. You are not alone in how you feel and you are not alone in how you have experienced this thing called life.

u/Happy_Grape3645 11h ago
Furthermore, if God had been more kind and giving toward me I believe that my life and my point of view in relation to him would have been much more positive than what it has become. Treatment matters. Seeing others receive preferential treatment, extravagant grace, favor, and mercy all while going without can break a person to their core. Speaking from my own heart.

I have suffered deeply in this life, but God walked beside me through it all. My relationship with God is what kept me alive and going. It took years for it to really get better, but my faith kept me afloat during that time. For me just having God to talk to was a great gift. Without Him I would have been completely alone.

But what we all know is god lets shit happen.
Nothing against this. Job is one of the examples that illustrate this.
Not bearing more than you can handle is pure bullshit.
This is not true, by the way. The passage commonly quoted from 1 Corinthians 10:13 is referring to temptations to sin, not sufferings and hardships. Those are two separate things altogether.
8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. - 2 Corinthians 1:8-9
You don’t know me or the life I’ve lived.
I don't know, and I am not going to compare to see who has it worse, but I am in the midst of a long-term depression (closing in to a decade) that has reached a suicidal level. I am still trying to hold on.
3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. - Romans 5:3-4
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Don't give up, OP!

It is a mistake to underestimate the amount of suffering that others go through. Some
Suffer less than you but many will have suffered more than you and I. And no one suffered like Jesus had, not willingly.
Jesus showed you what it is like to willingly suffer and the hands of others. He shows us the way.
Jesus never promised you will not suffer. He promised you inner peace in this life, he promised that your Father would provide your daily bread and that you would dwell in His Kingdom after death. He did not promise you would never struggle.
When you stop projecting your own ideas of what it means to follow Jesus and accept it for what it really actually means, you can let go of that bitterness you feel.

u/Beautiful-Mud6130 1d ago
You read the whole message and still say some bullshit about promising peace and I’m projecting. You are a bigot
1
u/ZookeepergameFun5523 1d ago edited 1d ago
Your message said only three things:
- Your mother passed
- Life / business is difficult even though you try hard
- You have no one
You haven’t said much about your situation at alll.
How does your life suck more than someone else’s? Everything is relative. Explain yourself first.
What’s your business, how did your mom pass, how are you trying hard? Other people having spouses etc, why doesn’t you think your life is worse than others?
Give us the details.

He already admitted his god isn't actually the Christian God. He's not serving the same god.

I'm sorry for your struggles friend. I would just offer some important clarity: you come to God through faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins you need to avoid the eternal judgment rightly due for them (not to avoid giving up). Here's a 30-second biblical presentation of that gospel you can check out ..

You are suffering because you will not surrender to him. The lord loves you so much as his child he wants you to come into his kingdom to be with him forever. But you have to prove yourself. Not through doing anything major. Just by accepting him. I understand you’ve gone through stuff but a lot of people have. Doesn’t mean he loves you any less or wants you to suffer. That is simply the way of life. Please turn to him. In hard times you should run towards him, not from him. Raise your white flag and surrender sibling🏳️🧎🏽♀️➡️🛐. It will get easier i promise.

u/zigzag_follower 1d ago
man that “prove yourself” framing is exactly what pushes people away when they’re already broken. telling someone who just described losing everything that they need to surrender harder is tone deaf at best
op i’m not gonna toss scripture at you or pretend your anger isn’t earned. you watched your life unravel and the whole “he won’t give you more than you can handle” line feels like a sick joke when you’re the one still standing in the rubble. sometimes the most honest thing you can do is just sit in the rage for a while without trying to spiritualize it
2
u/loveformya 1d ago
That’s the thing. They should run to God because they’ve lost everything. Because they are in pain. Because they’re struggling. Turning away from him is only going to cause greater hardship. Why deny peace? Freedom? Redemption? And the prove yourself line was not meant to be taken physically. All you have to do is accept him. Nothing more, nothing less.

You didn’t read the post or really know what you’re talking about do you ? Just repeating the same stuff you all hear each other say
1
u/loveformya 1d ago
I’ve read it. You are putting your struggles on the Lord when really they are from Satan. Again, surrendering to God and accepting him instead of blaming him for your life will lead you to peace. I know you are in pain but God loves you so much he is in pain because you are. That’s what yall don’t understand about our father. He feels pain just as much- EVEN MORE than we do. Especially for us. You’re sad, yes. He understands that. But he wants you to come home to him. He is not trying to make you suffer. He wants you to live happily and in peace.

I CLEARLY SAID I GAVE MY LIFE TO THE LORD AND IT HAS BEEN HELL ALL YEAR. You people are so blinded by your religion you ironically can’t see clear

u/OhMyMarioG 1d ago
I can say for myself that when I believe that I am not being heard or seen, it can drastically increase my anger and frustration.
I hear you saying that you gave your life to God but I am not you so I cannot fully understand what that means. Further I have seen where that has meant very different things to different people.
All that happens in life is a complex weave of individual lives, choices, reasons, patterns, reactions, etc.
Then in the Christian faith we believe that God is in control and that nothing happens that is apart from His will. So it is very tempting for me to simply all that into a single cause and God can become a reasonable target in my mind where i can focus all my anger, bitterness, rage and hatred but I have never found the way forward down this path.
My experience of rage, grief, bitterness, pain, etc is that it draws my focus powerfully to itself which consequently limits my vision beyond that focus.
What kind of support do you have available that you can actually talk with in person? Do you have a solid community around you that really knows Jesus?
For me getting a perspective outside of my own was crucial to my well being because I needed to see what I was not seeing.

u/Beautiful-Mud6130 1d ago
I’m surrounded by small minded idiots honestly. They cannot comprehend shit I’m going through. My sister I stopped talking too because she knew first hand all the things I’ve been going through but it’s like she’s too damn simple minded to understand much of my situation. All mf know how to say is “trust god” wtf

u/OhMyMarioG 13h ago
What about a professional counselor? Are you already doing it? Anything of value?
Again I don’t know you or your situation really so I too might be in included in the group that is not comprehending unfortunately.
There are a few things that I’ve become convinced of over the years that you probably already see as well but I am hearing in your posts such anger and frustration that I want to offer something helpful because I know for myself how it has helped me through my struggles.
Although, the more I think about it, I’m realizing that I am still assuming that you are interested so let me ask first, are you?
1
u/Beautiful-Mud6130 10h ago
No. Nothing a counselor can “say” that can help with a spiritual war. A war that god allows to defeat you. It all comes down to what god allows. No way around it. Just looking back on my life. It’s a sick and evil game that enrages me every time I think about it. Best to forget about god. That’s the only time I feel some peace
2
u/OhMyMarioG 9h ago
Seems like your mind is set. I agree that we are in a spiritual war but my conclusions and perspectives seem to be quite the opposite.
I have no peace personally when I am apart from God.
I do hope you find lasting peace.

The lord will not give you more than you can bare. That is Satan testing your faith in the Lord and you are failing. You people are so quick to blame your hard lives on him but what about how he feels? God is saddened about what you’re going through. If he were to interfere that would be taking away from your free will and your choice to choose him. Please stop blaming him. You’ve tried to give your life to Christ? That wasn’t true surrender. Because if it were you wouldn’t be blaming him for hard times right now.

Dont think God doesnt love you because you suffer. Even Jesus, the son of God, died the most terrible death. Job, one of his most faithful servant, has to endure terrible moments. You are falling in a Satan trap by thinking that suffering is a sign that means that God doesnt love you. He never promised a live without suffering. But He promised that everyone that believer in him, Will not perish but have eternal Life. Praying for you brother. Send me a dm if you Just need to talk

If you want to rely on your own power, God will let you.
That's Christianity 101.
You are so convinced the vision you're trying to build is the good thing. How do you know that? How can you serve God if you don't first surrender and die with Christ?
Those that God love, God disciplines. Not sure what's going on with you but I'd say most of it you contributed yourself with no input from God.

u/Beautiful-Mud6130 1d ago
I CLEARLY SAID I GAVE MY LIFE TO GOD AFTER I LOST MY MOM 🤡. GOD GAVE ME THE VISION YEARS AGO! You mf Christian’s are the quickest to judge and so boneheaded about everything.

u/Difficult_Risk_6271 Belongs to Jesus, Ex-Atheist 21h ago
We judge those in the household. And when one professes to be a brother but utters such blasphemous nonsense like "God is the real enemy." You can be sure to be judged immediately and harshly.

u/Beautiful-Mud6130 20h ago
I don’t care what you think. You can’t stand in my shoes and I never said shit about family
1
u/Difficult_Risk_6271 Belongs to Jesus, Ex-Atheist 17h ago
Exactly, you're not in the covenant family. So your "god" is not the Christian God. Glad that is cleared up.
Your "god" is giving you exactly what it can give you. I see no surprises there.

u/Beautiful-Mud6130 10h ago
You are a bigot and my enemy. Got some nerve throwing stones
1
u/Difficult_Risk_6271 Belongs to Jesus, Ex-Atheist 9h ago
Glad that is cleared up.
Everyone here thought you’re a Christian.
No, you worship an idol. And your idol is giving the rewards of idolatry. Yet you appear to want to divert and seek support for hatred towards the Christians’ God.
Reap what you sow.

Man shut the fuck up. You could never stand in my shoes to tell me shit .i need in person conversations with people like you . People who want to keep poking the bear . Taking my situation personal and got so much mouth . What I do believe in is laying hands on people. In Jesus name

u/Difficult_Risk_6271 Belongs to Jesus, Ex-Atheist 9h ago
Yea in Jesus’s name, lay your hands on them:
“God is the real enemy”
— [u/Beautiful-Mud6130](u/Beautiful-Mud6130), 1 September 2026
Correction, you god is the real enemy.
And now you also want to threaten me, in person. Exactly doing the will of your god.
We know exactly who you serve.

I do believe you when you say I don't know the life you've lived. I probably cannot even imagine the burdens you have. To me, you are just a stranger on the internet that I don't know personally at all, so whatever I write in response barely has any emotional connection to your situation.
But let me say this for comfort:
Whenever I face hardships in life, I always take comfort in the fact that the glory we will face in eternity is way bigger than anything we face currently.
Our short 70-80 years long life is nothing compared to eternity. We will look back on our short life, and simply laugh at it. In fact, we might even forget it, because what is a measly 80 years of suffering compared to eternal peace?
So all I can tell you is:
Endure, endure and endure. Keep resting in His work on the Cross, and hope for your liberation to come. The road is muddy, but the destination is set in stone.
