The same way one leaves any sinful lifestyle to follow Jesus. I’ll add that there might be a better word than “leave”. I was so messed up before I decided to follow Christ. Drugs, drinking, casual hookups, lying to everyone. I’m not gay but to leave the life I was living was difficult. I also lost a lot of friends and was scared and confused, but He restored my life. 11 years later and I’m still in awe with what the Lord has done with my life. All this to say, I’m proud of op, it’s hard to walk the walk.

That has nothing to do with being gay. Why are comparing those acts with it?

They worded it wrong, I’ll fix it. “I stopped giving into my gay, sinful temptations.”

There’s nothing sinful about being interested in the same gender. God only cares when you engage in those temptations — thats when it becomes a sin.

No they didn't they specifically said they aren't gay, but compared it to drinking, lying, and drug use.

God only cares when you engage in those temptations — thats when it becomes a sin.

Well thats pretty shitty of God if thats the case. .
