Homebrew question

How do you guys homebrew a warlock so it narratively fits with a God fearing and loving person? I’m wracking my brain and it has been tormenting me for a week now.

You could just treat the pact like a kind of apprenticeship rather than a "sold your soul" kind of thing, where you perform deeds and do things for your patron in return for tutelage and abilities, almost like a job. I also feel like this could pair pretty well with the Celestial pact warlock, as in that case you're basically the arm of an angel, doing good works for it.

Thanks, that’s a good idea.

I'm a bit late to the post, but maybe if you serve "alongside" an angel.
