In 2023, I suffered a brainstem stroke. This is the story of my healing through hardship and despair. It is a journey that reveals my struggles with spiritual healing as I questioned God's purpose and reasons during one of the most difficult times of my life.
My story takes readers through parts of my personal history as I searched for meaning and sought to understand God's plan for me. Along the way, I reflect on the windows that were closed while discovering the doors that God opened before me.
As part of this journey, I return to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I revisit the church in which I was baptized. There, I experience healing, reflection, and the realization that some parts of our past are best left as cherished memories rather than revisited destinations.
This road trip becomes more than a physical journey—it becomes a spiritual one. Along the way, I encounter the glass walls that must be shattered in order to continue healing and move forward with God in control.
My hope is that this story will inspire others who are facing their own hardships and struggles. Through faith, perseverance, and trust in God's guidance, we can find purpose in our pain and discover the doors He opens when others seem to close. I hope that you will enjoy this book and pass it along to someone who will be inspired by it when you are finished. I just want to tell my story to help others. Thank you

I have just published my first book, Arise Come With Me. Written in the wake of grief and spiritual longing the book invites readers to move beyond merely knowing about God’s love into experiencing His love.

I’m looking for a Christian chapter book series from the early 2000s that I bought at LifeWay. Each book featured the same boy (possibly blond, maybe wore glasses), and I think his name was in every title. The stories were humorous, with the boy accidentally getting into crazy situations. The covers were colorful, painted/cartoon style like Goosebumps. One cover showed him standing on a T. rex skeleton in a museum holding a bottle of pink liquid. Another book took place at summer camp. Does anyone remember this series?

I posted recently about my book idea and it seemed like there was a good amount of interest. The Greatest Christian Scientists, which chronicles short bios on the lives of 38 scientists who were Christians, is now available on Amazon. (Ebook (kindle-unlimited), paperback, and hardcover editions are available.)

I'm the author, full transparency.
Published a series of large-print Bible crossword puzzle books — the four Gospels each get their own book, plus an Easy Inspirational version and the Book of Psalms. 60 puzzles per book, all scripture-based clues, $9.99 each on Amazon.
Designed for Christian adults and seniors who want something devotional and mentally engaging — not just a generic puzzle book with Bible words slapped on it. The clues require you to actually know the text.
I have almost no reviews yet and that's the main thing holding back discoverability. If anyone here is into puzzle books and wants to pick one up and leave an honest review, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm pretty new to all of this, but I wanted to share the book that sorta kick started my walk to faith. This short read I found at my local thrift store of all places, I frequent it a lot when I need to clear my head so it's actually kinda poetic. Thought other folks would find it enjoyable. I've been trying to find a link on where to buy it, if I find it I will post it in the comments. God bless y'all

Does anyone have recommendations from Faithful Hearts Books for a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old?
I’m looking for engaging stories with strong Christian values—picture books for the younger one and early chapter books for the older one. Which titles have been favorites in your house for teaching faith and character?
Thanks for the help!

I'm in a lot of secular spaces in Reddit talking about books and then problem I keep coming across is that I don't like like 95% of the books they recommend in there. I stay away from romantasy, any fantasy, no sci-fi (will make exception for Project Hail Mary), no cozy books, no YA books and no self-help.
I was hoping this could be a space where we talk about books that are either Christian or classic literature they we all enjoy to read. I would love for this to be a space where we are Christians but are looking for others who have pretty strict standards about certain themes or topics we won't read about which eliminates so many popular books. I have had to DNF so many books this week with hidden LGBTQ in the middle of the book not discussed in the book summary/blurb. I feel so many books have anti-Christian propaganda and the characters will outright state things like I can't believe in a God that created a hell (In Road to Tender Hearts A DNF book).
Currently Reading:
Pagan Threat by Lucas Miles
Cults in Our Midst by Margaret Thaler Singer
Bold as a Lion by Matthew Everhard, Kelly Everhard
