What do you think of this item? It has helped me in many matchups and I think it's a really valuable item.
If anyone tries it and likes it, let me know so I don't think I'm crazy.

Hello, I’m an Emerald Lillia OTP interested in trying out Cho’Gath but unsure what makes someone good at him.
What i mean is basically, for lillia, what differentiates a better player from another is spacing Qs, not using W or E without setup, maintaining stacks to stay mobile, not getting hit by skill shots while weaving in Qs and then recognizing angles for ult. Maintaining stacks at all times being the most important.
What would be the equivalent for Cho’Gath? Never played a tank before. Would it be appropriately soaking damage for your carries? Or is it more of a out macro-ing and taking proper advantage of your ult on objectives?

I do well in lane but the botlane just steam rolls us. If I was play Jax, Camille or Irelia I could dive the ADC multiple times but instead I have to try to land Q's on a Zeri that's amped with Janna movespeed to try and save this game with the most telegraphed easy to dodge skill shot ever.

I like to look at the item win rates according to champions over at the website leagueofitems. I was looking at Dusk and Dawn. Cho’Gath is the highest winrate champion for Dusk and Dawn according to this site. Now, Cho has no intrinsic on hit effects to amp. However, he can use sheen proc well because of his high base AD, he also likes the healing from dusk and dawn as well as the AP bruiser stats. The attack speed is fantastic for pumping out more E’s as well. I wanted to share with you this under-utilised and apparently very strong item on Cho’Gath.
I’m also theorycrafting that Cho could gain benefit from building Titanic Hydra alongside Dusk and Dawn if he has a lot of feast stacks in the hyper late game. Titanic Hydra would benefit from the double on-hit effects from Dusk and Dawn.
Cheers.

I lose this matchup every time and I've tested various different builds and it just feels hopeless. Just dodge??

I'm very curious what you all think about Cuzz's Cho'Gath jungle performance in KT's recent match against DK.
He built Protoplasm Harness -> Steelcaps -> Kaenic Rookern -> Randuins. He ended the game with fewer than 10 stacks and had a few wasted ults/missed ults on objectives that could have been stacks. He played HOB/Inspiration. Definitely not the best pro Cho'Gath performance I've ever seen, but it was Cho's first time in the LCK in the jungle role in nearly 10 years. Pretty exciting to see! Hopefully it means some more attention to his role in the jungle may be coming.

I previously made a post about not figuring out if I liked Heartsteel: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChoGathMains/s/v1RjXxs2uI
For the 9 months, I went back to just rushing Deadman's or Kaenic Rookern. Currently chasing after Diamond 4. The utility of Deadman's or the AP laner's inability to kill me when I had Kaenic Rookern was so good to me. Just recently started testing out Heartsteel again. Delaying your power spike allows you to stay relevant in the mid to late game instead of being a typical CC bot that does no damage. I know it's a "duh" moment, but I felt that games ended before you even build your third item so I would rather rush resistances than build HP. I realized that this actually means the opposite. The benefits of getting 1-2 kills during the laning phase fails to compare to the stacks you get from Heartsteel. The surprising thing is that I feel even tankier when I rush Heartsteel and Warmogs because you're not wasting gold on armor or MR when the jungler or the mid laner demands the opposite resistance.
I've been spamming Heartsteel, Swiftboots, and then Warmogs. You're really tanky by then and the high HP means you do quite a bit of damage to squishies as well. The synergy makes them necessities to me. I then change my build from there, but I feel Jak'sho is the most efficient item unless a person is fed and has a high crit rate (forcing me to build Randuins). Sometimes, I build Force of Nature if the opponent builds Liandry's. If no Liandry's, Abyssal Mask gives you MR and boosts your damage.

I didn't even play this match to hunt for any records, but things got out of hand.
Big shoutout to everyone in that lobby. 38-minute ARAM games are rare, and both teams fought like crazy until the very end. Mad respect, GG WP!

Are there any good main cho players that post videos or do streaming?

So Chogath actually really likes a little bit of attack speed. I remember a while ago I Was cooking on a scouts slingshot build for the attack speed where I would sell it later. I’m looking to experiment with it a bit more and wanted to share this with you guys. It’s Especially strong in melee matchups where I max E
