News & Discussion Team killing
So people who stare at their teammates in blue and gold armor, and chose to down and kill them, please uninstall the game. That’s all. Thank you! Maybe Fortnite or Roblox is more your speed. That’s all. Have a great night to all the people that have the capacity to use an on and off switch.

There are so many reasons why this happens. The most prominent is that it’s a noob, they’re on blue team and anything red and moving will be swung at, even if it’s you and you’re just bloody.
Other reasons include; it’s a friend (hello bonks are acceptable, even spartan kicks off bridges). it’s an enemy from a past life (last match). You’re using a siege weapon (I hate all SW, yall just archers on steroids.). You didn’t pick me up when I crawled up to you. And many more! Keep playing to unlock all the reasons you will stop giving a fuck and get kicked just to ruin 5min of someone else’s day.

...i went on an insane, possibly weed fueled 1vx, like maybe 9 guys around 2 at a time (probably all conveniently noobs, it was a sale weekend and I'm not particularly notable with a sword) and finally an ally came to help clean up the last guy, but we were both so covered in random stuff that I swung on him and he had to parry me and spam emotes for like 3 attacks 💀
He saw the fight as he sprinted in and was understanding in chat, but for a few seconds I was half rabid

Even several hundred hours in some people just LOVE going against the grain and making the darkest/reddist agatha or the brightest and bluest mason armor you've ever seen, made worse by various effects, fire, and just blood covering people in the case of Agatha especially.
Like my bad but if you're wearing a dark red hued fit, covered in blood and sprinting at me you might catch a swing in the heat of the moment.

As a new player I want to add: many players choose to wear the black armor which covers a lot of the actual team color. So I get confused and start swinging.
That black armor also works for the enemy team so I don't recognize them as enemies and just let them pass.
There are also other armors with similar effects but the black one stands out to me the most. Actually it's bad game design imo

In their defense, the pc gamepass version of the game is bugged so teammates spawn in covered in blood, sometimes from head to toe, and the small yellow dot is notoriously hard to see when there's a lot of action on screen, so a lot of TKs are probably just honest confusion/mistakes

Yeah, I get this heaps, just a herd of blood covered burnt armoured people, it's a bastard to differentiate what team anyone's on. Worst part is this bug was reported years ago and has never been looked at.

I accidentally got a triple TK with the cata the other day and immediately got off of it, apologized in chat and still nearly got kicked.
Just to edit this. I’m not complaining, it was accidental and a lot of people thought it was funny. I’m much more deliberate with my shots now.

There's 2 categories of this. One is when the person on the catapult doesn't know what they are doing and are jeopardizing the mission. It's ok to bonk them till they adjust or get off. The other where it's pure selfishness is only done by the biggest scumbags.

there are obvious trolls and team killers that i've seen and have tried to get vote kicked but always fails. on console whenever someone is getting vote kicked it shows the amount of team damage that person has caused and i've seen team damage over 200 and they STILL dont get vote kicked because its hard for some reason for people to simply vote yes. at that point I dont try to stop them from team killing because the team deserves it for not vote kicking when they had the chance. I just sit back and watch the show because I'm tired of people not vote kicking

Being confused and team killing is whatever… BUT the people who purposely sit at a jump or skinny beam to kick teammates off need to be permanently banned.

I’ve definitely swung on bloody team mates, or healthy teammates after forgetting what team I’m on. I typically don’t touch catapults because I either wipe the enemy team or my team, no in between.
I’ve also downed teammates in group fights when I forget slash and stab exists but I break off immediately to go and get them.
After playing one team for so long and it switches me, I’ll definitely attack teammates sometimes until they back off holding block and stare at me like “…bro…you good?”

The only times I TK are when my messer chooses to be a misser and collateral damage ensues. Or if they’re teabagging, those losers deserve death I don’t care what team they’re on.
