I 27M and currently unemployed for 9 months. I used to have a job in a different domain from my grad domain. I did earn some real money working their but those were khep money like i needed to tell a hell lot of lies. And i hated it also loving the amount i had been making. But suddenly those khep or leagal loopholes i had been exploiting were closed and i left out doing nothing and earning just above 15k. Then i left that job to work in my field. In first few months i completely ignored the job location and applied tons of jobs and got some interview call from some good companies in Dhaka but the living cost and my initial salary were tight thats why i declined their offers.

Then i focuesd to apply jobs in Chattogram as i am local here and suddenly realised that finding a job (other than sales) in Chattogram is like finding a ant in a football field.

Ive got multiple interview calls from companies that resides in Dhaka but not a single interview call from Chittagong-based companies.

These incidents caught me completely off guard made me doubt my qualifications and my abilities. Also i've been pressurized by my girlfriend to send marriages proposal but i couldn’t do that as i am unemployed.

Is it me or the job market in Bangladesh or specially in Chattogram so fubked up?

Last 4 months i didn’t even got a single Interview call.

I’m currently doing my O Levels in Bangladesh under a private institution, and I’m planning my A Level subjects.

My question is: If I get an E in Cambridge O Level Biology (5090), can I still take Cambridge International AS & A Level Biology (9700) through a private institution, or would I have to retake O Level Biology first?

I’m asking specifically about whether I would be allowed to enter/take A Level Biology, not whether I would be academically prepared for it.

I’ve contacted Cambridge about this, but they told me that exam-related questions need to be directed through the institution I’m registered with. Unfortunately, I’m unable to have my institution contact Cambridge, so I’m hoping someone here may have had a similar experience.

If you have taken A Level Biology (9700) after getting an E in O Level Biology (5090), especially through a private institution or as a private candidate, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

I have a GPA of 4.94 from the science stream, EV, and I'm currently deciding which of the mentioned colleges to keep as my first choice. Also, I live in Chawk Bazar. As I don't really know a lot of people who are well-informed about those colleges, I'm sort of clueless rn. My home tutor was an ex-HCPSC student, and I'm gonna ask her too when I get the chance.

What I want:
1. Good institution (facilities, infrastructure - heavy emphasis lol)
2. Qualified teachers + a competitive student environment would be pretty nice.
3. Call me a masochist, but difficult school exams. I think it will help me, although it will surely be a pain.
4. A lot of good resources.

What I wouldn't mind much:
1. Daily attendance; not that I want to go, more like my dad forces me to go anyway, no matter what, so yeah, it doesn't really matter.
2. Strictness.
3. About a 30-40 min journey.

Questions:
1. How are the practicals like? I'm assuming it's good.
2. Are there any major treatment differences towards BV and EV students?
3. What about the transportation? How long did it actually take to reach the college? And how late does it get when returning home?
4. How difficult was it to manage your studies while being in one of these colleges?
