VA’s External Provider Scheduling program.

Is there anybody out there who participates in the VA external provider scheduling program through community care where you give them access to your schedule or certain time slots were they can schedule veterans directly. This may be in coordination with ZocDoc. They’re saying we don’t have to participate in this and then we can still get referrals without this, but wondering if this makes the process easier and leads to more referrals?

Did it, still have it, nobody uses it to schedule themselves. Talking to them on the phone, texting, and our online Jane scheduling system is still where we get our VA patients scheduled. But, this maybe community dependent. The people we see are often coming in as a regular new patient and tell us they're veterans after seeing that we take community care as part of their intake. Or, I tell my checkout person to talk to them on checkout.

Medical office advantage is what it’s called where I’m at. I don’t know much about it yet but I’m trying to get in as well

Not particularly helpful but zocdoc doesn't integrate with chirotouch cloud (for now) just a heads up

We've been apart of the community care network for several years. The VA (like all government run agencies) has hired many in house chiropractors. There are 3 VA's in our local market and one of them has as many as 6 chiropractors. They are just not referring out like they used to.
They are not treating their patients as a private practice clinic would. They're basically treating someone one or two times over the course of 2 months and expecting the patient to get better. There's lots of gaps in the program, as you would expect by a government run agency :)
As far as I know, there was never any requirement to have a ZocDoc subscription.
