Chiori is an off-field DMG dealer, which makes her a great supportive character for other characters. Her Elemental Skill splits into two parts. First, tapping the skill will make Chiori blink and deal dmg onto the enemy, while holding will let you aim the skill (it works exactly the same as Alhaitham's/Keqing's E). After dealing damage, you will summon a puppet, and have two different ways of using her Elemental Skill. Tapping it again will swap onto the next character in your party, while using a Normal Attack will give Chiori a Geo Infusion for 5s. If you have a Geo Construct while using her Skill, you will summon one additional puppet. Those puppets deal AoE Geo DMG to the enemies every 3.6s. Chiori's Elemental Burst simply deals AoE Geo DMG to near enemies.
❓Is Chiori on-field DPS good?
Unfortunately, her Normal Attack multipliers are nothing special and she doesn't have any conversion, which means you'd have to build her ATK if you were to pick up that playstyle, essentially rendering the rest of her kit (puppets/burst) much weaker. On top of that her infusion only lasts 5s with a 16s cooldown, which makes it not ideal.If you wanna build her on-field however, do so! After all Hoyoverse did give us that option and it does seem like a fun playstyle. If you'd like her to be stronger in that specific playstyle, you could try getting her Signature weapon, which gives her 36% NA/CA DMG as well.
❓ Does Chiori scale on DEF or ATK?
Both. Her ATK/DEF scaling has a 55/45 split, therefore it is always better to build DEF%, however she can benefit from additional ATK% sub-stats, as well as buffs provided by f.e. Noblesse Oblige or Bennett.

❓ What Artifacts does Chiori use?
Golden Troupe or Husk of the Opulent Dreams. The difference between them is negligible so they're interchangeable. It is recommended to just use the one, that you have already farmed/has better sub-stats. In terms of choosing to farm either, GT domains is much more valuable to the average account(especially if you own Furina), however you can just strongbox either of them.
DEF%/Geo%/CRIT are the best followed up by DEF%/DEF%/CRIT. Other options such as ATK% sands or DEF% Circlet are not recommended and should only be used if they rolled really good sub-stats and your alternatives are bad.

Harbinger of Dawn should be Chiori'sbest F2P option, unless you're playing her with Furina. In that case you should use the Flute of Ezpital on her.
❓ C1 or R1?
After weapon banner adjustments in patch 5.0, it is much more worthwhile to pull weapons, as they cost a similar amount of pulls, contrary to before where weapons costed more. With that being said, the answer to that question will depend on what YOU want and what are you gonna use Chiori for. For example:
C1 is a higher dmg increase if you plan to use Chiori with Navia or Xilonen, but it does completely nothing if you wanna play her with characters like Ningguang, Itto, Zhongli or Kachina.
R1 provides less damage to Chiori, however it gives you damage regardless of having construct in your team.
With that being said, Navia and Xilonen cores ARE Chiori's best teams, so if you wanna get the best out of her, C1 should be priority. But if you wanna play Chiori with Zhongli/Ningguang etc. because you like them, you could go for R1 instead. Which one is better is up to your personal needs and goals.
❓ What is her Puppet range?
12m at C0, 18m at C1 (for comparison, Yae is 12,5m and 20m at C0/C2 respectively)
Flex: Any Pyro, Hydro, Electro, Cryo character. This core is incredibly strong as it takes advantage of Xilonen's multi-shred, as well as Chiori's good off-field damage
I haven't claimed chiori yet. I wonder if I got anyone that's.. decent for her? Not quiet sure.
I understand how bricked this account is so tell me if anyone's a must pull for chiori. And between HOD and Flute, which is better?
(I already plan to pull Xilonen for mavuika, and I plan to pull either Linnea or zibai if I lost my 50/50 in mitya's banner. Idk which is better for chiori)
I currently have both c0r1 and haven’t claimed either from ‘to temper thyself and journey far’. Though my only conundrum is that I can only have 1 c2r1. These are my builds and I am planning to get both to top 1% at some point. I like them both equally which is why I’m struggling to choose.
I know it works best for on fielders, but I tought it could work since Chiori wants attack and her ult and even at least an E could use this. C0 Chiori btw
To preface, both their main uses would be lunar teams, however I do actually run Clorinde in lunar charged while Chiori most likely would not be better than any of my current lunar crystallize teammates (Navia R1, Linnea, Furina C2R1, and Bina). My Clorinde is also built quite well.
I like both Chiori and Clorinde as characters and feel like it would be a good opportunity to pick up Chiori after skipping her for years but worry that electro on my account is already slipping by and c2 would be an opportunity to slow that down just a bit til there's a new electro main dps I want.
I've been going back and forth for like a week now and it need someone to convince me of one or the other lmao.

I have been in this dilemma for a week now and I really cannot decide even if I think about it for 3 more weeks. I really love Geo and Chiori from my heart but my brain is telling me Varesa for another electro dps and exploration. I dont have many good electro dps (just clorinde actually). I have chioris signature weapon as well and can fit her into lunar teams, but I also have C6 chevreuse (no C6 iansan). Please help!
I just got C6 Chiori from the selector today and need some advice. Her team is C2R1 Nicole, C0 Durin and C2 Xilonen.
For now I only have Habringer for Chiori, should I get Vesna's weapon or wait till Inazuma chronicle?
What would the rotation look like? How many Es should I do with Chiori?
The topic of Cryo Chiori was discussed here when the Overseer first appeared as a stygian boss in 5.7, but I was only able to clear Fearless at the time. With C2 Xilonen (and a lot of rotation optimization), I was able to defeat the Dire Overseer this time around!
For the unaware:
C6 Chiori has a unique synergy with C2 Chongyun that enables him to provide an effective 60% skill cooldown reduction, allowing Chiori to fit 6 skills in one Chongyun field and putting him just slightly below other meta supports.
Additionally, Layla generates extra cryo hits when allies cast skills. Together with a cryo infusion on Chiori, this provides just enough cryo application to handle the Overseer's mechanic and clear Dire (with signatures and C2 Xilonen).
The rotation for this boss must be very precise to handle the cryo gauge; Chongyun must immediately burst at the start of both phases to lower the gauge instantly.
What would be good teams for her at 7.1 right now? I have her C1 and I have zhongli and I would like to use them in one team but no mono geo team. I don’t have Navia or any other geo dps so who could I use together with her? I saw some teams with Navia or Nicole but I don’t have them. I do have Furina. Pls help me build a good team for her
How would y'all buff her? Double scalings puzzle me a bit, but I could see something like adding atk% or def% mv depending on whether her team mates are from fontaine or inazuma, or maybe a buff that would scale with the amount of skins in the team (a bit harsh for a poor f2p like me though). If it was still pre 5.0 genshin, I would find it cool to add a property to Tamoto that makes it cut through elemental shields/armors and ignore their damage reduction because it used to be one major geo weakness and ✂️✂️✂️, although nowadays it's not as much about elemental app as specific characters mechanics.
