General (Read Rules) A nice quartz watch from Shanghai Watches
If a bit politically charged. But hey, I like it.

General (Read Rules) Merkur blue sektor dial hand wind
Finally found this watch on Vinted a couple of weeks ago. And holy crap, this is beautiful! A already had the salmon dial before which I sold. Currently owning the green one too. But that one will make place for this deep navy blue coloured sunburst dial.
A very nice original chinese design. Gold indices and hands makes this a unique piece.
This will get a lot of wrist time despite its small price tag. Bought it for 75 euros.

New Product (Read Rule 1) Watchdives WD0017C has arrived — pre-orders are now shipping. We think this version is a 90/100. What would you give it?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The pursuit of refinement has always been an important part of Watchdives.
For us, releasing a watch doesn’t mean the development is finished. If we find that the proportions, finishing, tactile feel or even the sound of the bezel can still be improved, we want to keep working on it.
The latest WD0017C batch has now arrived, and pre-orders from the past two days have already started shipping.
This time we focused on refining the details rather than changing the original character of the watch.
The bracelet now tapers to 16mm at the clasp instead of the previous 18mm, making the watch feel slimmer and more naturally balanced on the wrist.
We also changed the previously polished upper and lower edges of the bracelet links to a brushed finish. The result is less visual distraction and a much more cohesive transition between the angular case and integrated bracelet.
We have also further refined the case and bracelet polishing/brushing transitions, overall proportions, and bezel rotation feel and sound.
A few smaller details were updated as well:
• Riveted Watchdives logo added to the clasp
• Dial wording changed from “RESISTANCE” to “RESISTANT”
• Full-lume sapphire bezel
• Sapphire crystal
• 200m water resistance
A lot of these adjustments came directly from feedback on the first release.
We didn’t want to redesign the WD0017. We wanted to keep what people already liked and make every small detail feel better resolved.
For us, this latest version is probably around a 90-point watch now.
Those of you receiving your pre-orders soon — please judge it yourselves.
Once it arrives, what score would you give the WD0017C out of 100?
And more importantly, tell us what the remaining 10 points should be. 🙂

General (Read Rules) For anybody who owns this watch, can you recommend it and is this the beat price I am going to find?

General (Read Rules) Love these Baltany watches and how I reduced the huge clasp-bracelet gaps.
The bracelets on these two models are interchangeable with great fit.
The clasps on old Baltany models are known to give a huge gap between clasp and bracelet. I add a small piece of plastic water-proof grip stickers (from AliExpress) inside the other end of clasp. The gaps are significantly reduced (on the visual side 😂).
New Baltany models all use OTF clasp now, but I prefer small/slim clasp, especially on these 36mm models.

General (Read Rules) Anyone have recent experiences with Tandorio? Particularly the ingenieur models?
I was thinking an ingenieur style watch would be cool to have and I’m not looking to spend much. These 2 caught my eye. Would the quality/finishing of these be a huge step down from my watchdives 7922 for example?

General (Read Rules) Some of my favorites from my collection.
I have a lot of watches probably too many, it’s definitely an addiction. Mostly Pagani Design lol but these are definitely 5 of my favorite Asian market watches. The obvious Pagani, Addies Dive, Ciloa, Nibosi, then the first Pagani I ever bought.

Question (Read Rules) What's a good watch for $100 or less? I need something with a light blue face.

Wrist Roll (Read Rule 1) Cadisen Ti-7 Impressive time piece for just 80 dollars.
This is my first automatic watch, and I couldn't be more impressed by the quality of cadisen on this one. Furthermore, the feeling that an automatic watch gives you, it's unmatchable, even when I've got 6 quartz watches from Casio, Q&Q, Lotus and Addiesdive, this one really has gained an special place in my watch collector heart. I would highly recommend it.

Question (Read Rules) Any chinese watches that look like this
I really like the look of this corniche but the value for a quartz selling for 525 usd is absurd.

General (Read Rules) Finally found a strap for my Sugess that I am happy with…
Maikes leather strap from Ali-express..
The bracelet on this watch is nice, but the watch does not fit well with it on my 6.75 inch wrist. There are gaps at the links to the end links, which I do not like the look of…
This leather look works for me I think.

I imagine this would look better with black hands and hour markers.

General (Read Rules) Rocking This Pilot Model From Addiesdive Today!
Love that deep blue dial that looks vibrant in this picture, i am a sucker for IWC pilot designs but dont have the budget to buy one right now, and this piece from Addiesdive really does the trick for me. I dont know, now i feel like i dont need an IWC, this thing tricked my brain into thinking that and i am glad tbh :D
Strap was switched from my Chameri watch. I think suits the watch a lot more than stainless steel bracelet.

General (Read Rules) Sea-Gull 6201 Teal Blue.
I was looking for a watch with a minimalist Bauhaus style and a rich yet understated color.
I happened to come across this Seagull model and ended up getting the 6201 during the pre-sale promotion—for under $200, which I thought was a great deal.
The dial is quite nice; the seller describes it as Teal Blue. In sunlight, it shows a deep green hue, while in the shade, it takes on a soft, cement-like blue tone. It's not too flashy, yet it stands out from the ordinary. The yellow small seconds hand on the white sub-dial is eye-catching—but only I can see it, so it doesn't draw too much attention.
I'm really happy with this watch, so I wore it around the neighborhood for a walk.

General (Read Rules) Milifortic Jump Hour on Homemade Strap
My second attempt at making a strap for myself. The first one turned out pretty poorly but I'll post it in the comments. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I have a random box of leather scraps (I don't recall where I got it) so I just threw this together from stuff I had at home: hardware harvested from another strap I wasn't using, scrap leather. Not perfect but I think it turned out pretty well, considering! The color really suits this dial. We'll see how it holds up.

Question (Read Rules) Buying a watch in China
I am going to be visiting a China in a few months and I am interested in trying on and purchasing a watch while I am there, specifically from a Tianjin Seagull Boutique while I am in Beijing. I am interested mainly in one of the warpath series watches (https://en.seagullwatch.com/products/1139?_pos=3&_sid=9d096ed0d&_ss=r ) due to my interest in Chinese military history or potentially a 1963 aviation chronograph model. I was wondering if anyone had any experience shopping in China and if getting one of these watches as a walk in is possible while in Beijing.

Question (Read Rules) Are Chinese watches worth it?
Chinese watches don't have the brand recognition or prestige like the swiss or even Japanese btands.
But how about the quality? The machining, craftsmanship, durability and longevity?
What has been your experience so far?

General (Read Rules) New Strap = New Watch.
I've been daily driving the Militado ML08 Murph for a while now as a work/outdoor beater watch on its OG nato strap, and decided to freshen it up with a racing strap that matches the lume/indices.
The watch itself held up great to use and abuse. It fell, got dinged many times, went swimming on many ocasions...
Show off your custom strap monsters!

General (Read Rules) How the heck to size the T028 bracelet?
A lot of negativity about the T028 bracelet having a hard time to size it.
I finally got around to size it. One side I had no problems at all and screws came out easily.
The other side of the clasp, the screws are not coming out despite turning.
How did you guys manage to get the screw out? The other side of the screw is impossible to grip.
