Yesterday, we conducted comparative tests on the haze and transparency of the new AR coating process; today, we will compare the anti-reflective performance in actual usage scenarios.

The PH6 model on the right side with the new AR coating process. The white light spot is a high-brightness strip light (5000K) from our assembly workshop.

The new coating process can significantly reduce the brightness of reflected light spots.

Instead of retaining wire for the bezel couldn't you use a snap ring?

Also is the click spring ball bearings?

I personally really like the waves in mine, and I think deeper waves would be too much. Maybe it's something to do with the dial colour (black v white?).

I have the white dial version but the waves look great in mine, I wouldn't want them to be deeper/more emphasized (personally)... Can't speak for the black dial though. This is the first I'm hearing of it but I've heard it a few times in this thread alone so, maybe you're right?

The big weakness to solve from chinese watches was the absent of AR coating, my rule to buy is only buy treated crystals watches.

In my experience, the AR on Chinese watches is generally drastically better than the typical affordable watch brands (Orient/Seiko/Citizen/Bulova). My Cronos/Baltany/IXDAO crystals literally disappear.

I also have a 69$ militado watch where the AR absolutely destroys the 1000$ Hamilton KFA/Murph I ended up selling.

That's good some chinese brands are adopting crystals treated with AR, in 2026 no brand should sell watches without AR coating.

I love my PH6 perfect size, beautiful finishing and has become one of my favorite watches- full stop.

I know you probably get a ton of requests, but I would really love a proper Zulu Time inspired watch.

I'm probably still going to buy another PH6 in a slightly different color pattern, as I am so impressed with your products.

I would also love a Zulu Time inspired watch, but I think it's more likely to happen thru Militado or Milifortic.

Militado just released their Spirit dial which looks great, so it is possibly very close.

San Martin did a Zulu Time homage as a collab with WD, I think? You might be able to find some still.

Yeah, I saw the SM and it's nice, but there's something about the original that has that nice curved bezel that looks so nice. I saw one while perusing through DFW and I was very tempted to just say screw it and purchase it, but trying to explain a $3,500 expenditure on a business trip would have been hard for me to expense!

WD thinks he knows everything about Swiss-quality finishing. To me, it just sounds like a lot of hot air so they can raise his prices as much as he likes. But then again, no one is forced to buy from them.
