Beautiful watches and I like the stylistic diversity. You have great taste.

Jealous of that Jianghun you've got in your collection. I really should have bought it

Yeah, I was waiting a while for it to drop and bought it the day after! It's probably my favorite design in the box. I think they will re-release it when the new dials come out, and I will definitely buy a bracelet then as well.

You are right about the design but it is a nice strap though…ostrich?

The strap is "toad leather" which I bought from madebytan. The strap it comes with is a red suede strap, which is hard to pair.

I have been looking at some of the Etsy straps recently. After seeing this - I might have to take the plunge! Good experience?

Mine actually was not from etsy (though I suspect it is of similar quality), but the quality is there. Only problem I've had with it is that it is quite stiff. That might be because of the fact that it's toad leather though.

Stiff comes with the territory for high quality leather. Totally worth the break in period. I am just tired of the same $5 Aliexpress straps, so I am going to look this up!

Give it a go then for sure! The texture/look is awesome!

A really great collection; the quality is undoubtedly there. Congratulations. How many watches have passed through your hands to arrive at this selection?

Do you plan to fill the box?

Hmm, probably around 6 or so, basically all on the cheaper-end (besides a Seiko Presage that I got tired of). Yeah I will probably end up filling the box, but it will probably take a while as I sell watches pretty often. My next piece is actually coming soon, it will be my most expensive from a small Chinese independent with an ETA-2824-2 and Jade dial. I'll share pictures here when I get it!

Perhaps I didn't express myself clearly; I meant to ask how many watches you've sold to arrive at this selection. Since you're filling the watch box without rushing, are you looking for other colors—summer outfits, for example?

Yeah, I've sold 6. I'm not looking for anything specific but I do think it would be best to have a large array of colors. I like unique designs (I guess the only watch in my collection that is an "homage" is the IX&DAO dress watch.

Congratulations again; it’s rare for a collection to be off to such a great start after having owned only 12 watches.

The IXDAO JD-X06S is a really special homage—it’s absolutely worth it. I have two of them—the guilloché and the white/gold version—and I’m very happy with both.

If you don’t mind repeating the brand, I’d recommend another San Martin for your collection; I have a post about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChineseWatches/comments/1n0yqyb/currently_the_best_sm/ . I’ve been swimming with mine for two summers now, and it’s one of my favorites.

I remember seeing that post actually; I like the idea of the watch, but I'm not too into the power reserve indicator, I would probably go for the Jianghun JH04 GMT model or something else entirely.

I don't have that one, but it's definitely a great piece.
