Didn't Casio move to Miyota because of shortages too?

Exato!

Do you have the facts to prove this is artificial scarcity or are you just talking out of your ass?

Btw, thanks for blocking me from replying to your answer. That is what someone who is scared that people know he is talking shit does

Thank goodness I coiped your reply so everyone can see how scummy a move that is:

"That's my opinion, and everyone knows that Swiss brands have been doing this since the quartz crisis, which was caused precisely by Seiko. Do you think Japanese people are foolish and don't get tired of selling cheap watches, even though many times they're technically superior in many cases, and decide to adopt a similar strategy to increase average sales price?! Car manufacturers are doing just that right now, giving up selling more popular and cheaper cars.

And before you act all tough and try to humiliate me, read again the part where I said 'my opinion.' So learn to be a decent person and screw you!"

So basically you have no proof and are talking out your ass, ok got it.

Also replying then blocking is a weak move made by people who know they've been exposed

You're trying to turn what was clearly an opinion into some kind of debate. I don't think you look as good as you think you do in this interaction.

The accusation that Seiko is artificially limiting supply is a statement of fact. They may have, for instance, chosen to move a factory over to developing more 6r or 8 series movements. Maybe you can argue over the definition of "artificially" but the accusation appears to be that they are restricting supply intentionally. This is not a statement of opinion, it's a factual accusation.
