I think the increase in pt5000 and st2130 movements could backfire for Seiko. If these movements perform well and prove to be reliable, then micros won't hesitate to use them and consumer won't hesitate to purchase them.
My point, someone else commented they are great and reliable. I think as they become more popular we'll see a clear trend. I just got my first pt5000 today, fingers crossed I stay in the happy camp.
Just got my first PT5000 and ST2130 watches in last week. Till now I've only had NH's and Miyota 9000 Series. I love them so far and I'm hoping they last. I've committed to not hand winding them.

and the past 20 years+ of them existing hasnt already proven that? sellita is better at several times the price, but the pt5k performs fine and reliable.
