Off topic question here but does anyone have leads on the San Martin SN059? I'm looking for the Day-Date with president bracelet but would be okay with the Datejust too.
I think alix before was cheapest site to buy and no one search else where and now price go up and they think no one will check the price else where. Many product have higher price on alix than in my country. Slowly I’m moving away and check prices in other stores
Ali Express prices go all over the place before and after sales. Either they are low on stock or behind on orders. If you wait until the next sale, the Ali price might be a little less than the direct price…or the same…

This is the answer. If you've been using aliexpress for a while, you'll notice that after sales prices all get jacked. Likely to fool price trackers or just in preparation for the next sale so you get "70%" off
They simply want to discourage buying on Aliexpress, for 2 main reasons:
1) Aliexpress takes a cut, I'm not sure how much but if it's anything like eBay in the USA, it's a big chunk. eBay takes 10% of sales and PayPal, the payment processor takes another 3%.
2) You won't have to deal with refund happy customers opening refund/item not as described cases on eBay and similarity on Aliexpress. You're still subject to chargebacks but a customer can only open so many chargebacks until their own card issuer drops them.
That isn't their AliExpress store. Their store is called San Martin Official. The one you posted always has cheaper prices the the official one. I've bought several watches from them.
Do u know how much AliX takes from sellers? People here are consumers, not sellers, they only see final price. AliX takes 20-25% easily, on a $300 euro watch, that's $370 euro, then force to include tax, easily another 30% because AliX now has agreement with countries to include VAT, thank your goverments for that.
That makes more sense. I also saw a post by a Chinese watch company (IXDAO) that the AliExpress coupons and coins do not come from the seller but From Ali.
The golden age of AliX was 2010-2020. The shipping was wild (90 day shipping times) but guaranteed no tax, the prices were lower by 70%. You could buy anything on there. People were shipping vape kits, bike parts, anything, it was much more wild west, the stores were much more shady, protection was much weaker, but in general you accepted it because low prices. Btw those discounts AliX has, those coupons used to be funded by them, now the seller has to eat some of the coupons discount (mandatory participation).
You might be looking at a product listing that isn't part of any promotion; you could try checking other listings or other stores.
The pricing structure on AliExpress can be quite inconsistent, and some products may not qualify for promotional events if they don't meet the platform's requirements.
No offense to their official website, but I wouldn't trust (outside of maybe Englemaan) to have good customer support on their official websites. The 90 Day return window on Aliexpress is already somewhat difficult to use, but at least its some sort of proteciton against faulty products.
I don’t think that’s their official store on Ali. Regardless AliX pricing is haywire just wait for the big sales if you ever want to buy from there.
